Highly recommend the book
Outstanding book which comes with a CD. This is a good start on learning more about pain. Yes you have to do some homework and exercises. The author is part of the world famous Stanford University Pain Clinic. Her research is solid and has personally worked for her. I am NOT on Opioid's but my friend is. He says the book helps.

Very well worth the cost
The cd is excellent. Although I am a meditator, this is a clear, easy to follow script. The voice is very well modulated and paced well. The book is excellent.I am glad that I purchased this.

Helpful ideas and perspectives about chronic pain
Excellent book to read if you have chronic pain and are not getting the help you need. A good beginner’s book with lots to identify with, but not packed full of actual ways to proceed. A little simplistic, but better than most.

Waste of Time
There is no relief and there are no answers to be found in this silly book.

It's Just OK
I read a lot of books about pain relief. This book was sort of a condensed version with nothing really new. It is well written.
