Rock solid! A must have for a remote teacher like me!
The media could not be loaded. This stand is a fantastic product! A must have for a remote teacher like me. Faced with having to teach hands on skills during the pandemic, I needed a flexible platform for recording different demonstrations. While it is originally intended as a microphone stand, I am able to use it with an action cam for overhead hands on demonstrations, and when paired with KDD's phone and tablet mount I can use it to record lectures standing up! The aluminum and ABS construction seems rock solid, and the product is thoughtfully packaged with rubber pads for protecting your table surface, a ball swivel mount, and thread adapters to make this work with everything from standard microphone clips to cameras! There are also a number of velcro ties included for dressing microphone cables cleanly down the stand. It is plenty sturdy to hold a full size tablet without any worry of failure. Given that strength, this stand will have no problem supporting any mic you can throw at it. The toothed pivot points provide doubt free positive locking that will not slip. This bit of kit will definitely get lots of use this semester, and for years in the future.

Very good for very specific requirements
Much like others have noted, this boom arm is great if you have very specific needs and understand the pros and cons of what the arm offers. I needed something that I count on the back of a standing desk attachment and which could also swing under my monitor. There aren't many arms that can offer that, and this one does.Buyers should know that the arm, while adjustable, is not dynamically adjustable with springs or pneumatics. This uses a geared tension mount and once you lock an arm into place, that's where it is going to stay. For my purposes, this is perfect. I like that the desk clamp offers a tension knob and that it can be optional - this allows me to swing the arm into use, or away from the desk without loosening or tightening anything. In terms of quality, the arm is definitely solid, although there was a bit of wobble in some of the extension mounts which required that I really lock things down. Not a big deal, but understandably there is a little bit of bounce or wobble when you use it the way I do.The different attachments were extremely helpful. I use a wide studio mic and needed the 5/8 attachment which threaded with no issues. Truly the only reason I docked one star at all, which would only be like half a star at most, was that if you use a mic like I do which has jacks or ports on the bottom, the supporting rubber foot on the ball mount will completely block access. Thankfully, it was removable and the mount still holds my mic tightly. No more cable issues!

Hits way above its price point
If you think you might want this one than you do. It's the only one I found with this design. It's probably more adaptable than you think it is, only falling short of telescoping arms. My microphone (yetti gx) is not heavy, I weighted it at 13oz. I don't even need to tighten the locks. The lock closest to the table, with the most leverage, is totally loose. Thus readily adjustable and I am really not worried my mic is going to wander off. So it can clearly handle more weight. After hanging a 5lbs plate off the gooseneck I can confirm that the gooseneck begins to fail and it slowly droops. Of course leverage is a factor but hopefully that helps you. There is definitely some play in it. But it's worth it to be able to quickly reach 4 different positions with minimal effort. Without getting in the way. For less than $30? Do it.

Get what you pay for, sometimes not that
wasn't great quality from the outset, but it worked and I didn't pay much at all, so I made due.I haven't had it for but just over a month and the plastic that connects the microphone base to the arm just snapped. cheap plastic. would highly recommend spending the extra cash for a bit of quality built with metal, rather than waiting to be surprised when your mic falls off during a minor adjustment in the middle of a fairly important meeting.

Easy install and does the job!
Although I gave it a 4 star for sturdiness, it was surprisingly sturdy. Maybe a 4.6? It easily held my Behringer B-2 Pro microphone's hefty weight! In my photo I have another mic stand that is made of folded (squared) metal rods that is not as sturdy as this one. This is constructed of metal tubes. The top uses a short run of a plastic-coated gooseneck for easy angle positioning. The base conveniently mounted to my gaming table with a sliding pin screw-on table clamp that can be solidly affixed! (No clamp movement). It comes with the 37" Adjustable Gooseneck Mic Boom Arm, with 5/8" & 1/4" Adapter, Shock Mount, Mic Clip Holder, Desk Mount Suspension Boom. I had no trouble setting it up. I would buy again if and when I need another one.

Very delicate
I liked this stand at first, but after only about 3-4 weeks of using it, it broke. I still gave 3 stars because if I'd made sure to loosen the tightening knobs before adjusting it, it probably wouldn't have broke. But just warning any future buyers, it is plastic and it will break if you aren't diligently careful with it.

Great value for the price
For less that $30 this is a bargain. Much sturdier and well built than expected. I use this for my Blue Yeti USB mic and it handles it with no problem. I can also attach a pop filer to the arm The goose neck is sturdy and, despite folding and unfolding it hundreds of times, it does not feel like it's any less sturdy than the day I received the mic arm. Honestly, this thing is much better than I expected for such an inexpensive mic stand and, after months of use, if it broke I would repurchase it.Here are a couple of minor gripes which are very minor: First, the goose neck bendy portion is very sturdy as I stated earlier but it has a little bit of "play" where it attaches to the main boom arm so sometimes my mic tilts slightly off-center due to gravity. My mic is pointing straight up, if yours is going to hang then this isn't going to be an issue. Second, the bracket that attaches to your desk, which holds the boom arm, is plastic and although I have had NO problems with it, I wouldn't be surprised if it was the first part to eventually break.Overall, fantastic boom arm, especially for the price.

Better then i tough!
Very sturdy the adjustments you can make on the go is quite awesome the way you can set it up to your liking is one of the best I ever came across although can get noisy since the rubber inserts that keep the thing tight will do a bit of noise when adjusting but other than that very stable the best I've had so far. I've had four of them so far and one of them I paid over $150 and this one is way better it's a must buy if you're in the budget and this will last you longer than you think.

works great
it has very little range of motion but works amazing for my Twitch stream keeps the mic up off my desk so it doesn't pick up every little sound on my desk, is easy to assemble and has a spot to support my phone or tablet on its base if need be.
