The sides are not long enoughto keep the side flaps down from getting dog hair on the cloth seats. Yes, the material keeps wetness away and off my seats. No, the material is not strong and durable for 75 lbs plus dogs. In the long run i would never purchase this seat cover/hammock for my car.

Bought this for my niece who recently got a dog. Durable & waterproof fabric. Works great protecting her suv seat.
