Probably all you need to fix your key - without programming.
Buttons just not working, but the truck starts fine? Most of the time, your key isn't really broken. If the circuit board is still intact, likely the actual failure was the plastic sheet that holds the button contacts in place. Buy these, take the plastic sheet with button contacts out, take the nice new button pad out, and put those guts into your old housing with your original circuit board. Done. Brand new working keys without any programming, and you maintain the factory casing that still says RAM, while having everything else looking and working like new. Don't spend $200 a key when you can do this for $25.

One of the best buys ever for the money!
I took a chance and ordered these fobs (for my 2012 Dodge Ram 1500) with some reservations. The opportunity to save lots of money seemed worth the risk. Paid $12.00 each and took them to my local trusted Mennonite garage and they programmed both fobs in 10 minutes for $45.00. They work better than the original fobs and I literally saved over $200.00 from the quote I got from two Dodge dealerships. GREAT PRODUCT!!!

Good price but Be Warned!
I had both of these key fobs programed and they worked great but the very next day one of them no longer worked. I returned it to the place that programmed it and I noticed that there was something rattling inside it. Turns out one of the connections had broken and the guy was nice enough to rig it some way to make it work. But besides that; BE WARNED!! These buttons are very sensitive!! If you’re carrying them in your pocket or purse the panic button goes off VERY easily. I’m a guy and I think I’m going to start hanging my truck key on the outside of my pants because because it sets off the alarm SO easily. I don’t want to be “ That Neighbor”. I think I might actually superglue the panic button to keep it from being pressed.UPDATE. So it’s been a few months and the paint has warned off the buttons and it’s a guessing game of locking or unlocking. But when you compare the price with the OEM key fobs it’s worth it.

All worked but two features..... "remote start" and dealr could not cut the fob keys.
Not sure if anyone else has experienced the same, but although the product seems of high quality comparatively (price versus OEM), all features minus the "remote start" worked for me.FIRST - The service individual res-canned the remote start frequency and shared that it had an output, but no in the correct frequency for that particular command. They even reprogrammed the fobs to make sure, and I can do all else with these but remote start the vehicle.SECOND - This could be only at this particular dealership, but they informed me that the material used in the "key" portion of the fob was not suitable to be "'cut." I was there when they tried and the metal consistently dislodged itself from the cutting apparatus or bent to the point that you could not make an accurate cut.In summary: For the price you cant beat this set, and again I could just be an isolated case, but (a) the remote start" function did not worked, and (b) the included fob keys could not be accurately cut at the dealership. Aside from this all else worked perfectly. Overall and because of the price, especially when compared to around $180 OEM, I am not complaining too much. True, I wished it all worked, but I can lock, unlock and start my RAM 3500 without issues.

2012 Ram 2500 key review
I bought a used Ram that actually came with two working keys. I'm notorious for losing keys, even with a Tile attached, so I wanted an extra. Two was better..I thought I could program them myself. I watched every YouTube video for Chrysler products from 2009=2013. None of them worked. I emailed the seller and received no response. Disappointed. There are no automotive locksmiths within a 100 mile radius of my residence, just the dealers. Their service department was only open 8-5, Monday-Friday. Not an option. I needed to make a 150 road trip on Saturday to retrieve someone flying in. I went into the Dodge dealer by the airport and their service department programmed the remote and cut the valet keys on both for $75. Done....no headache, no waiting.

Great replacement key fob, works great!!!!!!
I purchased the key fob a month ago but never got down to dealer to program it until last weekend. My main key Fob’s chip inside, where it makes contact to the buttons had got worn out through the years. The chip worked great for me, brought it to a local dealer and they were able to program it with no problems.I have to say this sellers key fobs are great and have a better design on the buttons contacts.I have been using the fob for a week now and it works flawlessly and i am so happy about that!!!I noticed that some people have had programming issues ,my thoughts are that those circuit board chips might not of been tested before the seller sold them. As i stated i had no issues with mine at all.So go buy yourself one they are great!!!!

works on 2009 dodge ram 1500, even without remote start on original key
So far this is working on my 2009 dodge ram 1500. I was not able to program them myself in the truck but my local dodge dealer programed 4 keys for 65.00.couple things. my truck does not have factory remote start and therefore my original keys don't have the "x2" button. but that didn't matter. this key still worked.I also purchased another set of keys that didn't have the "x2" button and i have to say these keys feel better made and opening them up it looks like they used higher quality chips than the other set.i would recommend these

Very good quality
same quality you’d get from steelership for a fraction of the cost $$ .. I had an idea( the outside of my key fob was tattered up not my chip) so I took the chip out of both old key fob cleaned them with a Q-tip and some alcohol then put them into the new key fobs added a new battery and now I have 2 new key fobs , technically the dealership would be program the chip , my chip wasn’t bad so I transferred it over and didn’t have to pay anyone another cent ,
