Great book with beautiful pictures!First of all I was surprised that is was such a large and comprehensivebook. It covers the major races in the US, with pro-tips for each race. The book also includes great tips regarding bikepacking and biketouring. But the images in the book is what really stand out. Great pictures, great photography well edited on good quality paper. This book doubles as a coffe table book that I pick up when I got the time to just browse through and watch the pictures and get inspired.Can't think of any cons except that Nick missed my country Sweden in the book ;-) though to his defence we don't have any big gravel race here, that I know of at least. But this book has got me so inspired so who knows, perhaps there will be one in the north of Sweden in a future nearby.

Best gravel riding book ever! Bought this for my husband for Christmas but was so impressed with the absolute beauty of this book I couldn’t wait. He loves it! We’re new grinders and there’s lots of good content in her even for beginners. Even though the subtitle indicates gravel racing, it’s a great book for casual (wait, if you ride gravel, is there really such a thing as casual?!) riders. Great info on gravel races around the world, but the biggest disappointment for us is it doesn’t mention the Belgian Waffle Ride. Hopefully in a newer edition?? Overall very satisfied with this purchase. VeloPress never disappoints with their quality publishing.

such a good book - a great gift for any cyclist.

I thought this was formatted for a Kindle reader. I find myself rotating my iPad Kindle reader and zooming in and out, dragging the text to be able to read the book. An unnecessary effort if it was formatted as advertised. DO NOT BUY THIS VERSION!

This is an awesome book! I vacillated for months as to whether to buy it, thinking it would be one-dimensional, but it turned out to be an amazing resource for all kinds of cycling: road, gravel, mountain, touring, bikepacking. There are wonderful vignettes of gravel rides all over the world, plenty for the bucket list. And plenty of solid advice to give one confidence to get out there. I'll be keeping this one on the shelf!

This is an incredible book! The book itself is high quality with good paper and crisp, clear photos. The format is laid out very well with a good mix of reading content and photos. It really drew me in and kept me turning the pages. There was not a single dull or boring page in the book

Not only does Gravel Cycling offer enjoyable reading and all the information I had hoped for, the book also features beautiful photos on most pages. This is the type of book screaming to be read on the printed page. I highly recommend purchasing a physical copy.

This book was very Informative, an easy read with great pro tips & pictures. It is both inspirational & motivational. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to start gravel riding as well as those experienced riders looking for their next adventure.

De momento mucha información sobre ciertas rutas o pruebas con entrevistas a organizadores y competidores en los que exponen tipo de ruedas que debes llevar, qué comer, etc. Este aspecto no me gusta. Además, hasta el momento la información que ofrece está hecha para personas que no conocen mucho la aventura por lo que detalla como debes prepararte etc. Mucha foto con otros tipos de bici, de monte, etc. Parece más un libro pensado en que te inscribas a pruebas off road en bici que otra cosa.De un primer vistazo la segunda parte parece algo más entretenida. Veremos, lo mismo vuelvo y os comento. Por el precio y lo visto, de momento, yo no lo recomiendo.Sigo leyendo y más de lo mismo. Una pequeña guía de qué estilo de bici necesitas, lo mismo que tienes en internet, otros libros o revistas especializadas.

Was a gift and he was very happy with the book

The photography in this book is amazing, however the book is best purchased in hard copy as the text does not transfer well to kindle.How I wish I had access to some of the trails shown in this book, but unfortunately it's of very limited use for riders in the U.K..I expect much better books to be published in the near future, with the rising popularity of gravel bikes. For now wild cycling is about the most useful book i have found.
