A potent rose syrup
I was hesitant to pay the extra dollars for just simple syrup, but let me tell you, it is WORTH IT! This is simply the most delicious and well formulated rose syrup possible. Only two tablespoons in a large drink and it is bursting with fresh rose flavor and also is not too sweet. The issue with the cheap syrups is that they are too sweet and not potent like this one is. This seems like the most concentrated that rose flavoring can get before it might taste too strong so props to the food chemists that whipped up this rich rosey elixir of hydrodistilled goodness.I was not paid for this review. I just really, really like their syrup.

Elegant
I ordered the rose cordial and the citrus passion. Both are very, very good - subtle flavor and just enough sweetness, natural taste. I use them in soda drinks, but I can see how they would make good cocktails. I ordered some more!

Great rose flavor, fast delivery
I will be comparing Portland Rose Cordial to Monin Rose syrup.I had been using Monin Rose syrup for tea and coffe and sparkling water.Portland Rose Cordial is much less sweet than Monin and the rose flavor is gentler, more natural and still full.It also has a bit of tartness. Great with tea and lemonade! Perfect soda water tonic! I am inspired to add a touch to home made plum jam and perhaps quince jelly.Love it. Wish they made lavender as well.

Really wanted to love it --
Unfortunately, this has little true rose flavor or scent. I really appreciate the purity of the ingredients and the fact that it's not sugary (and the label is beautiful), but if you're looking for something that smells and tastes like roses--this isn't it. The flavor of rose hips isn't anything like that of roses themselves, and the rose hip flavor overpowers the true rose flavor. It is pleasant tasting and we'll certainly use it (mostly in sparkling water), but won't buy again. I may try another of their flavors, however. Making a pure, true, rose-flavored item is going to be very difficult and likely very expensive, so I'm not surprised that this doesn't hit the mark.

Light rose syrup for a refreshing drink
This rose syrup is truly great. It's sweet and rose-flavored without being perfumey or heavy. We've been adding this to sparkling water for a refreshing light soda, although this would work really well with a rye whiskey or an aromatic gin.I had a package that was lost in the mail and the communication and replacement with the seller was also excellent. Drink your roses!

Medicine flavor
Tastes really floral but more to a medecine like flavor, not exactly roses. I don't like it

Rose flavor aficionado
This is lovely, not too sweet, but feels more delicate than other rose products. Everyone's ideas of water and tea are great, but my favorite way is Hendrick's gin, plain seltzer, Rose Cordial, and a small bit of lime juice.
