I am using it for crafts. I want to make wick for plant. Although I can buy it from Amazon, but there are some plastic inside. I want totally cotton make. So, I use kitchen twine to make cotton wicks. The result is perfect! I don’t know what other people gets, but mine is with usb cable. That helps a lot! I don’t have to worry about battery issue. (You also can put battery inside, but I just use usb cable without battery.) The interesting is, they didn’t mention this usb cable on the outside of box nor a description on Amazon page. Although it is not a high tech item, it save my time. Making beautiful long wicks. I tried it on my long hair too, it worked beautifully. It just does twist in two steps, not braiding, but good enough. (Some company product is just one step, that cannot work well.) I think it can be great gift for long hair girls. I hope it can stay long.

I absolutely hate this product. This item is supposed to be easy to use .. IT IS NOT. It doesn't catch the hair as it is supposed to and over twist in other sections. This product is the worst. I was looking to return it but conveniently wasn't given an option to do so.

The device works as expected. The cord that came with is came defective and is not working. One of the reasons I selected this device rather than others similar to this is because of the cord aspect. I am disappointed that it doesn’t work as represented.

Pros - makes twisting faster and has a USB plug Cons - Hair gets tangled and can't take it off the machine, unravels hair close to scalp when twisting the two pieces of hair, you need to put a lot of hair on each side or it just slides out, parts that hold hair down don't always go back down so you need to cuddle with that while trying to hold hair and machine in place, USB plug is not very long. I would not recommend this.

We were looking to find a way to solve the problem of box braids not holding on smooth Caucasian hair. This gadget allows for very fine twists to then be combined into a thicker twist. Not quite braids, but does approximate look well.

Make it easy for my class I was taken

Bought for my daughters birthday. Used it a couple times and then she plugged it in the charger. Thank GOD we stayed up and watched a movie because I heard a “POP!” Sounded like an electrical kinda pop so I first looked at my work station power strip. Nope than I checked our charger station where this was. I grabbed the handle and it was Hot! Not hot enough to burn you but hit enough to notice! It also had what I now know was battery acid. I opened the battery compartment and one battery had exploded and the inside plastic had started to melt. I have reordered one but not one with a usb charger. Scary to think what may have happened if we all had gone to bed! I double checked instructions and there was nothing about the usb cord.

I used this to do two strand twists in my daughter textured hair who is mixed since I can’t do twists or braids and they came out so well after I used product on her hair with it! I wish I would have thought about this a long time ago! I can easily do her hair quickly for a protective style without taking her to have it done and paying for it
