Three weeks in -----Nice package and tool kit. Initial set up went ok. My first candidates were 1" copper type L pipes on a hot water return circulation loop. I used vaseline. The readings were weird - very low, zero and then they went negative and then positive. My M90 signal strength was not very good. I then got a 'Signal Reverse Error' and an error 0400 and it stopped reading. So I ordered some proper ultrasonic gel; no help. In the interim we replaced the pump (it was old) and when i broke it down we discovered the impeller had no blades on it - hence the negative readings. I sent the vendor all the info and some pix and they got back to me overnight - had me reset to original factory specs and I set everything up again and this time I used the proper gel - they said alway reapply anytime you move it. Worked perfectly. I still get the 'Signal Reverse Error' sometimes if I leave the sensors in place too long on a hot pipe - it dries up. So i add another dab and it works fine again. So far very happy with it.

How do i clear this error code? I got my meter today and it does not work.

Es el segundo equipo que tenemos, ha funcionado el primero perfectamente, se pudo calibrar con ISO 17025, es eficaz y hasta ahora no me ha fallado, lo rcomiendo sin dudar. Lo unico que debo probar es el programa para bajar los datos ya que el primero no pude instalarlo por algun tema de persmisos en mi computadora, este segundo viene con USB, voy a tratar de instalarlo en cuanto lo use. Seria bueno tener un case o protector para el equipo.

WARNING: Flowmeter will not work on metal pipes with internal diameter (ID) of less than 32 mm. I tried to use it on 1-1/4" nominal copper pipe (ID=1.250" or 31.75 mm, OD=1.375" or 34.93 mm) and was unable to get the device initialized correctly per the instructions. I was able to get it to work on 2" nominal carbon steel pipes, but that didn't help me, because the flow I needed to measure was in the 1-1/4" pipes. I returned the device and was later contacted by CGOLDENWALL customer support. They told me that the device cannot be used on metal pipes under 32 mm internal diameter (ID), and that they would clarify that on their Amazon listing. I do see that now there is a sentence saying that farther down in the product listing, but the main heading in the product description still does not make that clear, as it still implies that copper pipes down to 15 mm can be measured. This is still incorrect. So you have been warned. Do not try to use this on metal pipes under 32 mm ID, as it will not work. (Note: I changed my original 1-star review to a 3-star review because the device did work for me on larger metal pipes, and because their product support contacted me after I returned the device to explain the problem. So I added 2 stars.)

Not a bad piece of equipment for the price. Had to watch videos on YouTube on how to use it. Worked well. I used hand sanitizer for the gel since I didn't feel like buying some and it works.

The flowmeter works good. I checked with a built in flow meter and tje error was 6% which is good. Of course it has some limits and the measured value is not stable (jumping rapidly and quite high values on the screen) so you need to guess between the highest and lowest number. The exact distance between the two senzor is very important. I think for this price it is a good tool.

For relatively good flows, it works reasonably well (good correlation to Keyence flow sensor). At low floors however, it often reads 0, even though there is a low flow happening through the pipe. The chain straps are also a bit awkward for smaller pipes. It would be nice to have elastic velcro straps for those applications. The signal works mostly if you apply an ultrasound gel on the interface to the pipe. This is not included, I use a clinical ultrasound gel myself.
