Great tool for my work truck
Great tool for my work truck. I get to keep laptop and scanner plus phone charging all the time. Very inexpensive tool compared to local retailers I recommend this one for its multiple connections.

Product Performance
I tested it and took it apart, so this report begins as a work bench review. The inverter is built within an extruded aluminum heat sink. That makes it durable and cool-efficient. I purchased the 1000W unit for $69.99. Included were the instruction pamphlet, two extra fuses, cigarette lighter plug power supply, battery clamp power supply and a quick delivery.I was immediately disappointed by the instructions as they were obviously also made in China. I advise extreme caution concerning what seems to be the instruction pamphlet's suggestion that this unit can be used to charge your automotive battery by connecting the inverter's lighter socket to a 110v power supply. Imagine a cigarette lighter plug with its electrical contacts exposed while plugged into your home's electrical current. Is that how they do it in China? The extra fuses are only for the lighter plug. If you only connect with the battery clamps, then the fuses aren't needed. The fuse is located in the end of the lighter plug. Unscrew the retainer nut for access. Attached is a photo of it disassembled. There's lots of questions here about the inverter's performance. I learned by testing that its output depends on how you supply the power. This is what I did:With the inverter's power supplied through the 16 gauge wired cigarette lighter plug, I attempted to use my 4.5 amp variable speed drill motor. The only way it would work was to cautiously ease the trigger into a slow speed. Eventually it would stop and after multiple attempts, I blew the fuse. Then I connected the inverter directly to the battery using the supplied 10 gauge battery clamps. With this hook-up, the drill motor performed just like it would plugged into my 20 amp garage circuit. What a difference! So, to get the 1000W performance advertized, you must connect directly to battery. It appears to be the best quality for the money so I went ahead with my automotive installation. The inverter now resides below the second row bench seat in my 99 Suburban. It's connected under the hood directly into the fuse block with about nine feet of 8 gauge wire. The circuit is run through a heavy-duty relay that is switched on the dash. The 4.5 amp drill motor accelerates to maximum RPM's like it did plugged into house current.Words of caution concerning the inverter's amp draw. The fan runs continuously when the unit is turned on even without anything plugged in. It only took about two days to run down my dual batteries enough for the truck to need a jump. That experience is what lead me to add a switch to the supply circuit.Happy to have this new appliance!

Disappointed..
I haven't had this inverter very long. I'm getting ready to send it back. I have only used a couple of times and it has started making a whining noise. Sorry I can't rate this product till I receive another one.

This is a great inverter from 12 volt to AC 110 volt for boaters, RV or working in the back country. It is light and well designed. Easy to pack and transport without carrying a bulky generator.
