Sweet sounding music listening speakers
If you are searching for a speaker to listen to favourite music collections with all your lights switched off, this is it.Overall clear and beautiful sound output which you can keep listening to, for hours, without any fatigue. You can enjoy each instrument and vocals very clearly.I felt that this is tuned for Indian and Western classical listeners and plays our choices very well. Not very sure about heavy metal kind of music. Also, I felt it did not match well for the movies.Good:Great retro looks.Heavy wooden box (which I consider to be good and proves the quality of components)Spacious soundstagePerfect tight bass (amazing considering the size)Good mid-range and warm-sounding vocals.Very crisp and clear treblePretty stable and clear even at high volumesThe shipping packaging was very goodBad:Just a warning, that it takes several weeks to burn in. So be prepared to wait for this to show its true quality. No bass and treble control, so cannot control any audio settings from speakersStereo separation is not great (which is expected since it is a single speaker)Bluetooth supports only the basic SBC codec and does not support any high-resolution codecs. So, for me, Bluetooth quality is not its best. The quality of USB storage output is very good, but we can just click next or back. So, this is practically useless.Aux input is very much dependent on the input source. Better to avoid unless you have a very high-quality source. The remote feels very flimsy. The buttons on top of the speakers are not that great either. There is no mobile app to control the speakers (which you should be already aware)PS: I use a Chromecast to stream the audio from Spotify and use an HDMI audio converter to connect with the optical input of the speaker. After trying out various input options, this is the best quality I have got from these speakers.

Definitely A Mature quality Product.
To All those who find Bose, Marshall, Sonos, Denon and JBL to be Paragon of Fine Sound, here we have “Made in India” productSONODYNE MALHAR.I got mine delivered today (As per promised timeline)Malhar introduces itself as an Underdog in the race BUT trust you me, It has to be taken Seriously and Sincerely.I won’t go Ga Ga about the specifications which are already available on the sites BUT what I wish to mention is..- Excellent packing which is extremely travel worthy. Unpacking it was quite a satisfactory experience.- The product availability follow up with SONODYNE team was really professional. Being it Ayush or Shankar Bannerjee. Staff is coordial and helping in nature.- Talking of Sound, It ACTUALLY delivers to the Hype around it. Sound is Crisp with good work being done on Lows and High’s. It’s finely tuned for Indian music scenario’s and listening habits.- Technically speaking, Loudness is dynamic without compromising on clarity in mid’s. Its USP is wooden cabinet (I SWEAR), which is way ahead of plastic speakers. Malhar is rendering CRISP sound. That “Wooden” Sound is BEST feature of this speaker. Its massive 8kgs weight make it feel like a Masculine product and must be helping in delivering 180W sound flawlessly.- It’s a Speaker with a good aesthetics with the semi gloss finish and huge speaker cones with controls on the top giving it up market feel.- At modest 35k, its a steal deal considering the Sound Quality it’s providing. It’s in competition with products worth 80k - 1LIts not about any Negatives, But everything has some scope of improvements, per my understanding following are the improvement pointers for the speaker to make it a Market leader.- Remote need to be in sync with the speaker in terms of quality.- The additional features will add to the charm like HDMI connectivity, some App based controls like Marshall for better sound controls.- Some basic display screen to show current volume, song name etc.- Do plan to launch a portable speaker with battery based set up. Trust you me, I’ll be the first one to buy.No show stoppers otherwise. All in All One of The Finest product available in market which is at par with the old market leaders and best part is it’s A Proud Indian product. 👍

SONODYNE WOW
Thanks to Amazon for the prime day offer.Neat saving 😃Sonodyne, you've aced it with Malhar.Four days of use and it is difficult to leave the Malhar and go out for normal duties.I've been using elac debut b 5 with denon PMA 720 for last few years. Rated one of the best speakers in that price range, the elac pair were good .But with the arrival of Malhar the elacs have taken a back seat. No, it's not the craze for the newest. The Malhar is outstanding for a single speaker. It has far beaten my expectations by a mile. Whatever genre I've thrown , the Malhar has so far not disappointed. The full rich sound is engrossing and clear. Right amount of bass, treble and midrange.Pros: compact, solid build, easy to use, retro and contemporary simultaneously.VFM. came in good packing.Cons: Remote not at par with the system. No app to tweak the sound.Overall, very happy with the "investment". Can't imagine how nice it will become after burn in.
