Much less expensive than getting from dealers or installers. You can have the key cut at an Ace hardware store, and program it yourself. I followed some instructions from youtube. Pretty easy.

I had a flaky door remote but I didn't want to pay hundreds for immobilizer reprogramming. Since these keys are all the same design, it is easy to take them apart and swap the internals.I swapped the transmitter module AND the back cover just in case the flakiness came from bad battery connections. However, since the immobilizer chip is in the back cover, I pried it out and hot-glued it into the new back cover (basically swapping the chips). The new transmitter is working great!

Bought this and it took the programming in seconds , using an Xtool D7 , comes completely ready to be cut and programmed, battery included

2015 Versa SV cannot have additional keys programmed, unless the dealership does it, so this product is useleless. Key making kiosks will not allow you to duplicate your key. Only a locksmith that manually cuts keys will be able to do it.

You’re still looking at programming the security at about $100. Yes you can open the door but the car won’t start.

This unit was an exact match to the key that came standard with the 2013 Nissan Sentra SV that we acquired used. The seller gave us 2 keys which I tested in the ignition and both worked. I came to find out that the second key had a silicone fob cover that looked like the original fob, but there was nothing inside except for the transponder chip that the key needs to have to start the car. If you open the case, you will see a black rectangle inside the casing close to the actual key arm. That is your transponder chip without which the key will not start the car, and the part that needs to be programmed by a locksmith or someone who has the key programmer device. Net result is that we had a good physical key with the correct transponder but not with the fob transmitter to lock, unlock, and open the trunk. Ordered this key in the hopes of making some kind of "Frankenkey" or just keeping the fob transmitter portion attached to the key that worked. To my delight it turns out that the circuit board for the transmitter fit exactly into the OEM key, so I just pulled out the circuit board and the silicone button overlays, put it in the existing key with the missing transmitter circuit board, programmed the key fob via the indicated procedure, and voila! fully functional key. I have the shell of the new key along with its own transponder chip if I ever want to pay to have it programmed to my vehicle and cut, but in my case, mission accomplished by replacing the missing innards of the old key with the innards of the new key!

I received the key's and had them cut. Unfortunately one of the key's electronics will not work. It does work as a key and will start the car but remote lock/unlock does not work. My hunch is the battery is dead. Overall, it is an okay product.

The key arrived and looks just like the original except it didn't have the Nissan symbol...I went online to see how to program it and it works great...it locks and unlocks the Rogue. However...it will not start the car. I still need to get Nissan to program the key to recognize the vehicle to start it. This was unexpected.
