This was the first time I’ve worked with caning. It was pretty easy, and overall I am pleased with the outcome. This was a quick project and the caning took stain pretty well. One side took it darker than the other, so test that out on a corner if you want to stain it. I did have a topical allergic reaction to the caning, so that may be something to be aware of, but overall, I’m pleased with me project piece.

I love this Rattan roll. It is heavy-duty rattan. It is well made. It is nice and sturdy. It is durable. It is moldable and bendable so it is easy to bend and move around. It can be difficult to manage because it is difficult for it to lay flat. I did a little research and learned that you need to spray water on it so that you can straighten it out. This is a great tip to help you not get so frustrated with working with the caning. I also recommend starting with a small project to get used to working with the rattan. I got this to add to my dresser drawers. It cuts with sharp scissors. Good luck. There are so many different projects you can use this for such as lampshades, drawers, chairs, storage boxes. The price was a bit steep, but it is much cheaper than purchasing an item with caning.

I needed extra rattan to finish a project so I placed a second order but got a completely different color delivered. They are both pretty but I need similar colors to finish my project.
