Cork Wall Tile Squares - Dark (4 Count)

I’ve been buying dark corks for years. Every piece of cork that is Darkins will come with a smoky, smell and black residue. It is not the manufacturer. It is the nature of the product and how it’s made. This also removes most moisture as well so chipping and cracking can happen. But, do not be surprised if that is the case. Every brand of dark cork is like this, you will have the same experience unless they vacuum it out before hand.

This is a fun quick and easy DIY project. Instead of paying lots of money for a generic bulletin board. I made my own to fit the space I wanted it in. With a tape measure, X-acto knife, a yardstick, and Liquid Nails the cork boards can be easily cut and put in place. The cork tiles are sturdy, easy to do, and will last a very long time.

I cut these to fit in my DIY mirror window pane, super cute and easy to cut through. Sturdy and pretty.

These won't stay attached to the back board on my desk (used double stick squares) but it might be that the board is warped. I added a lot more of the tape when they fell off, and so far so good.

Debris of some sort (maybe the dark dye) falls off the squares. Rather flimsy - some corners fall off even with careful handling. These do not come with adhesive strips, so you have to order them separately. They look nice, but not sure how long they will hold up. I attached them with Command strips, as the seller recommended.Good response from seller; good customer service.

I was completing a wall that had already been done, but had missing pieces at the bottom of the wall. I was super glad to have found a match to repair it.

This type of cork is not designed for crafts, it started crumbling in my hands, it is covered in black dust which gets on everything and has holes and gaps all through it.
