the bare Moto x4 all-glass phone is like trying to handle a greased snake
These were purchased as cheap "stopgap" items, just to make do until we could find a "good" set for our new Moto X4's. Well, we won't be looking any further. I was really surprised at how well these cheap little shock cases fit and work. For those that don't already know, the bare Moto x4 all-glass phone is like trying to handle a greased snake. I have never seen a phone that slippery. SOME sort of case or gripping surface is a must with these things. And these cheap cases do the job without making the phone the size of a football in the process. They still fit on the belt pouch cases we had for our Nexus 6p's.Some reviewers below say the camera glass is not protected... but they are wrong. I put a steel straightedge across the back and the camera glass is indeed below the surface of the case if laid on a flat surface. No problem. These cases do not have a protective cover for the screen, but we dislike most screen covers anyway. So that was not a big deal for us. YMMVAll in all, 5 stars for a really nice, really inexpensive, shock case.

My daily driver
Fits perfectly, protects as expected.I have used this case on my phone for 2.5 years. The case still looks great, and my phone had been protected through many drops. I'm a pretty typical millennial -my phone is ALWAYS on me - hand, pocket, or purse. This case has really stood up to heavy daily (desk-job) use.The only drawback was that I couldn't fit the case plus the glass screen protector. The case caused the protector to bubble up, so I chose to use the case and leave my screen naked. No stars off the case for this - it felt more like an issue with the screen protector. This case can't take up any LESS space on the front of the phone. It's great!4/2019 update: I just bought a new phone, and I'll be buying another Dretal case for the new model. (What better review can I give than "I AM happily buying it again!"?) 🙂

Greased snake review was accurate
The person that wrote the review that the Moto X4 is slipperier than a greased snake was 100% accurate. I originally broke my phone within a week of owning it, and I'm not one to break phones, hence not having a case for it originally. After having to replace both my husband's and my phones within a year, I got these cases for them. They have held up wonderfully. I'm ordering another case because I had to get a replacement phone again after it ended up on a busy roadway. While the case didn't entirely protect the phone because I'm assuming it was run over many many times, I was amazed when I took the case off and the back glass, which was what I had originally broke within a week of owning the original phone, was still in one piece. So yeah, unless you plan on throwing your phone in the middle of a road to get run over many many times like I did, this case will probably work, so much so that I'm ordering another. Pictures attached after it was recovered from the roadside.

Good looking case
This is a pretty good looking case that fits the x4 well. It is a little bulkier than expected, but feel that the phone is well protected because of it. The back is just a hair thicker than the camera hump, so the camera should be fairly protected as well. The faux carbon fiber is cool looking mixed with brushed looking back. My one criticism is that the buttons are a little hard to press in this case. I hope it will get better in time.

Good texture, Good fit
I bought this case after learning that the X4 I bought has a glass back. I like my phone to stay in my hand, and I prefer matte surfaces on electronics so they won't smudge up as easily. The texture on this case provides good grip without being too rough. Exactly what I was looking for.The fit on the phone is good. Should be no surprise that they have the right dimensions, but it's worth mentioning. This case makes the side buttons slightly harder to press, but on the X4 this is especially unimportant. You can use the fingerprint scanner to both lock and unlock the phone, and the special Moto idle screen means you don't need to press the lock button to see notifications. Overall I have't had a problem pressing the buttons, but you'll notice that it takes a little more force than the bear phone.

Perfect case for the Moto X4
What a nice, simple case for just $8. It's nothing fancy and the phone probably wouldn't survive a toss at your neighbor's house, but it provides some basic protection for the corners and back of the phone. It also doesn't fatten the phone up too much, it's easy to hold onto, and the brushed back is really nice looking. It's always a shame to cover the smooth and classy back of a nicely appointed phone, but this case looks good!I like the size of the Moto X4, as it's just a tad smaller than some of the larger phones (like the Samsung I just transitioned from), and it fits really well in a jeans back pocket or jacket pocket. This case maintains that nice size, and while it's easy to hold onto it also doesn't make sliding it into your pocket difficult. Unless you're really rough on your phone, this case should meet your needs.

Fits snug, holds all glass off flat surfaces, makes it possible to hold or set down the phone!
Without the case, this phone is so slippery it will slide off a couch cushion by moving about 1mm a second if there is the slightest slope. This case fixes that, and protects the camera. There is just enough of a ridge on the front to hold the glass off a flat surface, and to grip things you set the phone on to stop it from working it's way to the floor. The back is perfectly set up to sit level (making some of the bubble level apps useful again!), and again I believe that the camera glass cover is just not quite touching any flat surface. The buttons are just a tad harder to press, but once you adjust to that the button pressing is just as reliable and predictable as without the cover.Looks pretty durable to me. Easy to take on and off without any wear and tear.
