Great Game
Great game! We love playing board games and this one offers a review of history as you "Trek" through time. Challenging enough to be fun but not frustrating or overwhelming. The game is well designed and the storage box holds everything, keeping it easy to set up the next time you play.

Highly Recommended Family Game - Simple Rules yet so tactical
My wife and I love to play complex board games as we do enjoy the puzzling aspect and how it stimulates our brain into thinking about how to be efficient. This game is not something we would think of playing, but I personally purchase this for a couple of reasons. First, we do like Trekking The World as it reminds us of several other games we like, combine into one. So we decided to pick this up expecting it won't disappoint. And second, we need more welcoming games and we could pull out in case our family members wished to play. We played this game more than 5x now as it becomes my niece's favorite. She was not a board gamer but she enjoys the puzzle aspect of the game, especially in fulfilling your itinerary. This is not the game my wife and I would think of playing together, but I rated this as a 5-star as it really delivers as a family (lightweight) game. That even non-gamers or casual gamers would enjoy and would make them more interested in discovering what board gaming has to offer. Component-wise, I personally am so fascinated with the production quality. This was the first board game I had with a neoprene mat, and best of all, it does have a functional insert to store the components. Hand's down a top-notch production. I wish this would be the norm for all board games. Again, as a heavy gamer, though not the game I would always prefer playing, I'd still highly recommend this for families who want to play something fast, and simple yet offers a good amount of decision space.

So much fun!
This game is much more complex than any of the previous tracking I have played. We have played three times and it’s been different every time. Absolutely love it.

Best Trekking Game
What gorgeous production quality! Comes across as a Kickstarter with a lovely insert and pieces. Do not shy away from Trekking Through History if you did not like the other games in this series -- Trekking the World. This one plays very differently. I actually didn't love Trekking the World and was very wary of picking this one up. I am glad I went ahead and tried it, though! Very strategic. Of course, luck does play a part in what cards come into the market, but it is mostly manageable. Had fun playing with my husband and I plan to take it to the game group next time we meet.

Fantastic game for all ages!
The game is very easy to intuitively understand but also has enough depth for adults to play by themselves! The components and build quality are top notch! This is a game designed for some wear & tear. The art is amazing. The facts & historical moments are fascinating. The box and added plastic insert is awesome. It packs up & sets up very satisfyingly. It plays quick and breezy at a light/medium complexity weight. Honestly I'm very satisfied, very impressed, and my adult friends & I had fun! The only real con is that this game isn't so addicting or complex to withstand tons of playing for "advanced" gamers. If the theme doesn't already keep you coming back to the table don't expect the gameplay to, in my opinion. The gameplay is great but not a ton of depth.

Great game
Honestly quite fun! This is a great game for game nights with family and friends. It doesn't rely on history knowledge so much, on the contrary, it actually helps you learn and even provides fun facts. Pretty good, not too hard to learn

Awesome!
This is an incredibly fun game for my history nerd husband and my kids. Fun to learn about historical events we hadn't known about. It also seems well made and the graphics are good!

A family game that is fun and teaches history
I read reviews that this was the best of the Trekking series so I got this first. The cards are great quality. The playing board is a mat that gets rolled up and put a away. weird at first but I like it. I did learn some things playing the game. There are notes on the cards that can be read. A fell in love with the mechanic of moving less means I could go again and possible a better card appear. It has some elements of 7 wonders game. This is several family members favorite game. I have to be careful not to overplay it and make others hate it.

We own at least 200 varied board games and this is the one that we can use for anyone: friends that love gaming, friends that aren't big gamers. It is simple enough to learn quickly and there is enough strategy to make every game different. You don't have to learn the history facts, but you can read the extra info on the cards as you play along, so it's good for those who love historical trivia as well as those who really don't care.
