Original Permalba White has been relied on by artists for superior quality and permanence since 1921. It is acid and alkasis resistant and ranks highest among the most opaque pigments with greater covering power. The smooth buttery consistency dries to an elastic film that has no tendency to crack. Professional Permalba Artist Oil Colors are made from densely concentrated pigments, and formulated with refined linseed and safflower oils which minimize after yellowing and promote maximum film flexibility. With the exclusion of the iridescent colors which are not yet rated, the entire Permalba is rated as ASTM Lightfastness I. Traditional pigments with low lightfastness have been replaced with contemporary alternatives, giving the artist the same traditional hues so richly prized but with superior color retention.
