Highest honors and credits!
I am a voracious fantasy/SyFy reader, especially when tales are told over a series of books. I have read a host of fantasy/SyFy series and I rate this as number one in this genre.Though the start of this series was a little like learning a new language, it was SO worth the determination it took to get through the opening chapters. I couldn't put my e-reader down!😊😀😊😀 I was rewarded with a deep and thrilling story that captured me and held me in it's grasp to the very last page! The action is introduced early and the pace is sustained to the epilogue! Good story telling and character development make this a must read for anyone who is in to the genre!

Perfect ending to the series
Very exciting!! I was almost done with book two when I realized there was a fourth book which I did not have. Thankfully, I was able to order with two day shipping, and got this one in the mail the day before I finished the third book. I did not have to wait at all to jump right into the fourth and final book, the big finale to the mermaid saga :) So well written, with great world building and exciting twists! I read all four in quick succession, could hardly put them down. Great example of having characters from many ethnicities and making a comprehensive world with many languages and beliefs.

This book was AMAZING! I mean there were so many twists and turns, kept me on my toes, made me cheer, made me cry. I finished it the day I got it, it was amazing. I ordered it the day it came out and it was not disappointed. But the fight against Abaddon was a little surprising for me, I mean this is the big bad, the major monster who was built up for three books, I had expected the big battle to be a little more climactic, he was defeated a little too easily. But besides that, great book. However I'm sad that this is the last book, I mean it ended on a cliffhanger! I NEED to find out what happens to that (insert word here) Lucia.

Well written plot and a bit of PG profanity but overall an excellent read for young and old
This is the final book of the Waterfire Saga. My 11 year old daughter is not big into reading right now so I was pleasantly surprised to see how this series has her captivated! Well written plot and a bit of PG profanity but overall an excellent read for young and old! When your child asks if she can go to bed an hour early so she can read longer...it's a blessing!

Lackluster Ending
Overall Rating 3.5 Stars-Book Description: 4-Cover: 3-Plot: 3-Creativity: 3-Grammar: 4-Simile Use: 3 (some usage)-Description: 3 (a little overbearing at times)-Show And Tell Balance: 3The final book in the Water Fire Saga kicks off with an excellent description, but a lackluster cover. Where the other covers were quite beautiful and realistic, this one felt a bit cartoonish. As for the storyline, much like that of book three, I felt it meandered and lacked the real action I was looking for. We get to see more of Becca, but again, her parts were glossed over much like that of the characters aside from Sera and Astrid. Unfortunately, it felt like the action-packed parts, like when the characters are captured, are left out and only explained in monologue once everyone comes back together. It seems like this was meant to build suspense, but in the end, it had me skimming through a good portion to get to the real action. Additionally, the volume of description was overbearing at times, and I never really felt the connection I was looking for between Becca and her human love interest. The final chapter wrapped everything in a nice bow for each of the characters, and then the epilogue slammed us with the question of if the book was actually the final book in the series. I had to look it up to see, and to me, that was a bit uncalled for. Perhaps, the author was looking for a spinoff, but what she ended up with was an ending that had me going 'meh.'

Perfection
Jennifer Donnelly adds this perfect element of fantasy and war. Being a Disney book with mermaids gives it that aspect of living a dream. Another side to the book is a morbid sad story of a world war all coming for losing who you love whether that be their death or not being allowed to be together. And last it has a side of drama between the 6 mermaids families and who they love. It is absolutely wonderful I would recommend it to everyone.

I love the whole series!
I love this book the most out of the series, it has a well done plot and is excellent for teens with active imaginations like mine. It genuinely makes me believe mermaid are real and live in societies like in the books!
