How strange that I order from Amazon UK an item that is sold as coming from America and yet it is made in China and boxed up for use in America ! It was exported from America añd transported by DHL then given to EVRI to deliver to my house only for them to deliver it to a house 200 yards from where I live leaving a kind person to have to carry it to my house and then for me to find it has an American plug on it meaning that I can't use it !

This chair works exactly as described. Yes, we tried it out several times. The peace of mind it now gives us as a couple who have both landed on the floor more times than we should is so good. I will no longer need to call for help when he ends up on the floor. We won’t be using it in the bath so I cannot speak to that, but you never know. Cost? Peace of mind! Delivery? Rapid! Ease of use? Simple!

I am not very much into giving reviews on any product I buy online but this time the quality of this product and its functionality calls for it. Buying this Chair Lift for me has been a tremendous help and a game changer in the care I provide for my husband. I was surprised how well this device work because is like having a portable small elevator from the floor to a sitting position available to you when you need it! I never expected to find this innovative and well-made product in the market when I started to shop for some aids or techniques to help someone who has fallen or slide to the floor to stand up with the least of the efforts from them or the helper or care giver. This is a product that really works, well built and very easy to handle. It is more than a blessing if the person who needs to stand up help themselves to be positioned on the chair but if that is not the case it cost little effort for you and any care giver to sit him or her on the Chair Lift since it has 2 extended ramps to the side that facilitates that person to be positioned on the Chair. It is easy to carry, though a little bit heavy, any regular standard size person can handle it with ease. The Chair Lift It is definitely a high quality, durable product with very sturdy material used in its fabrication. It is a definitely a plus especially with respect to accessibility, safety and care-giving in general. I have used it sometimes for my husband when he slides to the floor and can’t get back up. The caregiver and I positioned him back into the Chair Lift and he was up in his feet in not time! Definitely a great purchase and I highly recommend this product. It saves me time, it gives me a peace of mind knowing I can handle falls in case I need it, it gives me independence from external help and has made my life more stress free knowing that I can help my husband in an easy and safe way. The customer service is also excellent. There is a real person on the other side of the phone line willing to listen to your concerns and gives you immediate answers. It is really a nice surprise since most of the service provided for mechanical or digital devices you buy online are not that responsive. So, I definitely give this business five thumbs up!! I have used it for one fall when I was transferring from the shower bench to my wheelchair. Once I got it set up, it lifted me and I was able to slide over to my wheelchair seat. I also used it when I got an electrical cord tangled up in the wheels of my powered wheelchair. I used it to lower myself to the floor so I would untangle the cord. Then lift myself back up to get back into the wheelchair. I am rigging up a suitcase dolly to be able to easily move it around the house to where I will be doing something where I need to get down to floor level. What is interesting is that this device was developed for a totally different purpose. So a handicapped person can get in and out of a bathtub. Hence it is waterproof. I have not taken a bath for years as I have been unable to get out of the tub. The side boards fold upwards nicely and it can lower a person into a tub, then after, bring them up level again with the rim for exit. While I have been living only taking showers, that there is a dual purpose would help sell more if mentioned in the description, While it is a little pricey I am glad I purchased it. Just a warning that this product is largely plastic in construction and while it seems sturdy enough I doubt that it will not take bush abuse. Use it within limits and carefully, Do just fall onto it, slamming your weight onto it suddenly.

Works as expected. If a person can assist in raising his/her butt off the floor at least an inch( or be assisted to do so) this is a wonderful device to help anyone get up off the floor, out of a tub or shower, etc. if they have difficulty, or cannot get up after a fall or slide to the floor. My only desire if I could have designed it myself, would have been to have some sort of attached( or built in) handrail or holding device to hold on to when the lifting occurs. Easy to charge and clean. It’s not very heavy, but it is a bit awkward to transport for an 80 year old female who also has MS! So, I purchased an inexpensive “luggage holder, rolling cart “ and attached it on it. No longer an issue to move from room to room. Have used it for my husband after a night time fall and it was great. I can easily get myself on and off it by myself(during practice sessions I’ve done to familiarize myself with its operation.) Definitely a great purchase!
