A lovely second or third book on the topic
This is a lovely book to complete the puzzle about the Milken & Drexel story. The perfect order is "Predator's ball" to have basic picture, "Den of Thieves" to get some picture outside Drexel, and than this book to know more of how the "machine" worked down to "smaller" people. There's no Kindle edition for this, but it's worth the wait if you love the topic.

Very good explanation of the rise and fall of Drexel Burnham Lambert
I hadn't paid attention in the slightest to DBL when it went kaput in the late '80s, early '90s but years later found myself reading this book as research for a future novel set in the '80s. This book is well-written and interesting considering how dry some of the material can be - the ins and outs of high finance, investment banking, etc. - but it's neither dumbed down nor overly-academic. It gave me the information I was looking for as well as some ideas for the future novel.
