Drives 2 monitors but network port does not work -- FIXED! Network works!
I'm on a Windows 10 laptop. I love the look and feel of this docking station, and I was thrilled to see both of my monitors worked right off the bat, plug and play. Then I plugged in my network cable and the green and amber LEDs came on. Sounds good, but my laptop says no Internet. I tried a different cable, no joy. I went back to my original cable and bypassed the dock by plugging it into my laptop using a network-to-USB adapter instead. That worked, so the cable is good. Then I plugged that network-to-USB adapter into an open USB port on the dock. That worked! But when I go back to the dock network port it doesn't work. I spent about an hour making sure I had the most up to date drivers and experimenting with Device Manager settings for the Network Adapter. I can live with the network being attached to a USB port, but for a $200 device I was hoping for better. Hoping it's a driver issue and that it's corrected in the future. If not for that it'd absolutely be 5 stars for me!EDIT 7/21/2020On Targus web page for drivers and support for the dock I found SetupAutoswitch.zip which fixes the network port problem! Awesome! That makes this 5 stars for me!

It Works Better Than Advertised
After having purchased a new computer, I wanted to set it up to allow three displays. Initially, I was told I only needed to purchase a dongle to adapt my HDMI cable to USB C. Wrong! Then I was told I needed a hub. A well-known electronics store had checked my computer and they stated that was all I needed. I returned it 30 minutes later. I contacted Targus technical support and, after obtaining my computer model number to determine my specs, they informed me that this would work. They also informed me that I would need to download software from their website to ensure proper operation. The docking station arrived today and, because I had already downloaded and installed the software, was plug and play. Not only was it simple to install, but my monitors are able to operate at a higher resolution giving me much sharper pictures.Would definitely recommend!

Works like magic
Paired this with my Lenovo Thinkpad T490. The USB-C connection works like magic. Once cord for power, ethernet, and two monitors. I especially liked the option to use hdmi cables for both monitors. The unit is much smaller than I pictured. You can lean your laptop up against it like a traditional docking station. It also seems to work well to perch your laptop on top of it for added cooling.CONS: The only thing I didn't like is that the USB-C to USB-C cable that comes with the unit is very think and doesn't bend very easily. This created an issue for me since the tension on the cord was pushing on the usb-c socket in the laptop. I was worried it was going to loosen or bend it.

Works great with some compatibility issues...
This USB-C dock works as advertised. Using it to hook up my Sager NP 9876. If you know how big that laptop is it's not moving too often but it's nice to not have to play with 4-5 wires when you do.Those that are giving it bad reviews because they don't have a displayport enabled USB-C "docking" port or a laptop that isn't MTS should have done more research. It actually comes with a USB-A adapter as well if your laptop doesn't have a USB-C port as it's "docking" port line mine does. The important part is such a docking port is needed for more bandwidth than your traditional USB ports. If you try to hook it up to any old USB-A or C port it sort of works but is very jittery and video resolution is lowered or scrambled. It has plenty of ports for everything you need in the back and offers 2 easy to access usb (1 USB-A and one C) ports on either side of it.Compatibility is hit and miss with most USB hubs like this but assuming you aren't hooking up to many some weird combination of adapters 99% of things should work. I had an odd issue because it's hooked up from a KVM switch which has it's own USB compatibility issues exasperated when used in tandem.DVI to Display Port adapters don't seem to play too nice with it either so try to used pure display port connections. That once again could just be a compatibility issue with my converter though.

Used docking stations
I originally purchased this item and received it cracked with remnants of tape on the docking station. I then received a replacement with scratches on it and finger prints. I didn’t purchase them refurbished or used, I purchased the docking station as a new item. Returned them both waiting for my refund

Very concerned about M1 chip not supporting multiple displays !
I found out after I purchased my new MacBook Pro M1 that it did not support multiple displays out of the box. I have two additional monitors I use. For what it's worth my previous Intel MacPro was sketchy on multiple displays as well. They would work inconsistently and often times one would be at a lower res. I could tell the computer was struggling. I searched to find a solution to my M1 problem and came across the Targus. It does the job well, but you need make sure you download the driver and enable mirroring to work. Overall, I am very satisfied, just a bit frustrated that Apple doesn't support out of the box.

Great until it stops working
This thing was absolutely amazing while it worked. I had two extra monitors hooked up to my laptop and was wizzing away and being all productive and stuff. ... and then it stopped working. =(About 2 months after I started using it, the displays would no longer register. I could still power my laptop through the USB-C, but NO other functionality worked. No displays, no headphone jack, no extra USB-C slot.I LOVED this thing while it was working. But I don't think it's realistic to buy it every two months =(
