You get what you pay for
Firstly this is cheap! It's made to a price point which shows. Is it rubbish? No, for the money it's not too bad at all but you need to be prepared for a few things...1-the supplied pegs are rubbish for any ground harder than a block of jelly but then so are the pegs on any cheaper tent, so get yourself some decent heavy duty hammer in ones.2-the instructions for the guy lines are non-existent, if the adjusters slip then it means they're the wrong way round otherwise they work just fine.3-the guy line attachments aren't great so have a needle and thread handy in case you need to repair them.4-the poles, first time I used mine we had a few gusts of wind, not gale force but a tad more than a breeze and two sections (one on each set) split meaning they inverted. Easy to fix with duct tape, so have a roll of that with you, we also used some spare guy line to add extra support to the poles, so probably worth carrying some line with you.5-the zips are cheap, one of the ones on the door came apart, easy to fix with a pair of needle nose pliers so have some with you. Probably worth tightening them all up before you use them to save the hassle of fixing in situ. All in all, nothing an experienced camper won't be used to, or prepared to deal with. The awning fitted against my Berlingo micro camper really well and gave me a nice area out of the rain to cook, sit and chill and nice shade from the sun. A couple of garden poles worked well to turn the door into a sun shade. The seller, was prompt to deal with my complaint of split poles and refunded me sufficiently to buy new sections without the hassle of returning the whole thing. One improvement that you could be done before you use it is to measure out some straps which prevent the poles from splaying further apart then they're supposed to as there is enough slack in the fabric to allow this which then causes problems trying to close the doors after you've opened them - hence the zip failure.

Good value for money
Good value for money, not the easiest to assemble if you are alone, the instructions are also not great, there is also a gap between the ground sheet and the awning however this could be because it wasn’t erected properly due to the lack of instructions. A video tutorial would be ideal. Overall though the awning is good value for money, is pretty sturdy and decent quality.

Pole and clamp no good , only a c-channel
Lovely awning nice size we bought large and it’s just right for us two , really easy to react and not bad quality for what we payed , the only downside is that there’s no sleeve to put pile and clamp on so had to have a c-channel put on my van .

Cheap you get what you pay for
zips are cheap nylon and split easily and I would buy tent pegs they break and bend

Easy awning
Good bit of kit for a budget price. Easy to put up even by my self.

Poor value
One of the clips that attaches to poles was missing, should have been on a tab that is sewn on to awning.Pegs are very poor, easily bent when trying to put them into the ground which renders them useless. When you compare this awning to a four man tent or similar which is the same material and has a permanent floor it is very poor value as you can purchase a tent for less than half the price of this awning.

Great
Wasn't sure what to expect with this but I'm really pleased, very reasonably priced compared to what else is on the market. Fits great on the side of my van - I have a Suzuki Carry micro van which I camp in and this tent is perfect for giving us that extra bit of space. Great features like mesh windows and storage pockets, really easy to assemble and packs away small. Size is great, for reference my partner is 6ft 5 and he can stand up and still has head room, can easily sleep two people. The only reason it loses one star is that the ground sheet isn't attached to the tent and my dog made a few escape attempts!

Tough to erect, heavy and condensation a problem.
Have used this on a number of trips including two weeks in the south of France last November, a week in the north of England this autumn plus a couple of shorter trips. My first observation is that it's actually heavy and bulky. I've a couple of tents which aren't much smaller and come with an inner tent too, and they are lighter and take up less space.Secondly, it's just about possible to erect alone but it's a lot easier with two people. Feeding fibreglass poles through tunnels in the canopy isn't easy alone.Third, it's not stable in high winds. I encountered strong winds in both the S of France (and the Mistral is fierce!) and in Yorkshire. In both cases, the structure wasn't strong enough to stand up but was blowing almost flat, even properly guyed out. It may be that the bigger tents - because of their shape - are more stable, but the 2x2 m one certainly isn't. Even when tethered to the van, it was still blowing in on the side facing the wind. Fortunately, the fibreglass poles bent rather than snapped but in my experience they tend to go brittle after a few years. The material itself stayed waterproof in heavy rain, but a lot of condensation formed on the inside, which then dripped. The plastic flaps around the bottom are OK as splash guards but combined with the groundsheet they won't stop surface water as I discovered when the pitch flooded an centimetre or so deep in Cumbria. The supplied pegs are - predictably - all but useless. They won't give a secure hold on wet soil and are too weak to drive into hard ground. Budget for some proper pegs.Having got it up, the 2 x 2 metre space did what it was supposed to, offering a bit of storage outside the camper as well as securing the pitch when we weren't there. But I can't help but think it could be made lighter and would be more stable with rigid aluminium poles.
