Easy installation on 2011 Chevy Silverado, I’m 71 years old so I had my service garage install the wire. They soldered the camera wire to the reverse backup wire and ran wire to along frame to the front driver’s door and ran under plastic in cab to behind mirror. I am very happy that it works when I put in reverse and makes it easy to hook up trailer. Yakry make an awesome backup camera, for a reasonable price.

I've purchased over 15 of these backup camera + monitor kits (for our Sprinter delivery vans) from YAKRY and have always been happy with them. I wire them directly to the reverse light - that way they turn on when you put the vehicle in reverse. Running the cable is kind of a pain, but is easy enough that it goes pretty quickly if you know what you're doing.I mounted my cameras on the top of my van(s) (see picture), that way they have decent view w/ the 150 degree camera.PROs:- Multiple ways to power the system on-- Wiring directly to reverse light-- Using the provided 12v socket plug (has a button on it to turn on and off)- Clear + crisp image (considering that this is a $30 kit)- Decent low-light image- Waterproof- 150 degree view on camera- Suction cup mount with sticky pad allows mounting / remounting on windshield or dashboard- Magnetic hold on monitor - lessens the chances that the monitor will break if/when you accidentally dislodge it- Guidelines can be turned on and off via menu- Really good value for the moneyCons:- Screen is a little too bright when it's dark - can be solved by using window tint on the monitor.

A good product for the price. The picture is good enough but not great but what do you expect for less than $40. It does the job. I went with the wired version because I figured I could power everything off the backup light but ended up using the cigarette light switch so I could have it on full time to monitor the bike rack if I chose. That did require me to run the cable from the barn door on the back of my Astro Van into the side compartment then underneath the carpet all the way to behind the dog house and to the top of the dash. I did need to modify the camera mount because the factory mount would interfere with the license plate light (as shown). A good addition to a Chevy Astro Van.

I purchased 3 cameras in the past, all lousy picture quality, fading in and out, picture in and out, blurry, blank screens. They were wireless and hard wired.They took forever to install, and never right from beginning. I got this to use on my 1992 Ford PU when I'm hooking up my trailer. I usually have my wife help but sometimes she is not available or I miss read her waving hands. This camera takes all the guess work out of the chore and allows me to get it right every time. I have it on constantly because there is no rear view mirror on the truck so I just use this. It has a nice wife view but shows great serial for such a small screen. Super easy to install (took me 15 minutes, but I just ran the wire from the back to the front without taping into any of the lighting). Pretty much comes with everything you need to do a complete install. Well made and should last a long time.

Thumbs up: excellent picture quality, fairly straightforward install, good priceThumbs down: mount has melted into an unusable mess after being placed on windshield. No way to contact vendor for replacement. Picture has slight delay after putting vehicle in reverse.Overall good product and great value but has issues mentioned above. I would still buy again but count on eventually buying an aftermarket mount.

I bought this particular camera because the description stated it had a 25 foot. I have a full-size Chevy extended wheelbase van. I need it every inch of the 25 feet of that cable, but it was long enough. The camera offers two mounting points so it can be rotated 180°. My license plate mounts in a recessed area that could not install the camera off the license plate, as it interfered with the license plate light. With the extra mounting holes, I was able to rotate the camera and mounted air the bottom license plate. The camera lens is also angled upward which makes sense as the vest majority of cameras will be mounted on the rear bumper.I had to tilt the camera down because I wanted to use the camera to assist me in hooking up my trailer. None of these issues are the fault of the product, just posting them here in case you have a similar application. The picture quality is amazing, especially considering the price point.

Ought this to watch our show goats we transport. First impression was awesome!! Great product for the price. Took it on a 5 hour trip. Worked perfect. Daytime could see great. Nighttime could also see great. Next day we headed home and nothing. The picture would start to come on then off. Was as if there was a loose connection. I checked all the connections and everything seemed fine. It did rain on us. But I would think that something that is supposed to be mounted outside could take rain. Disappointed.

Install was simple, screen is clear. Good value. We will purchase 5 more for other trucks.

seems like a good product. have to work on the suction cup but its probably because the inside of my windshield is dirty. Easy to route from back of truck to cab. Good for the price.

Great system. Easy install. Good features. Clear images.Highly recommend. But, I hope it will tolerate harsh Canadian winter...we'll find out soon!Update: Survived first winter.Sadly, they claim to send you a gift in their instruction pamphlet if you follow the steps outlined, but it never arrived.

Very nice camera, super clear view! It has night support leds at the back of camera. Must recommend. Great value for money. Here is a short video of the camera.
