1.3 L Aquarium CO2 System Generator with Regulator Solenoid Valve for Aquarium Plants (G600SMini)

UPDATE: After buying the Clscea co2 system I came across another “mini” system from Chihiros Aqua which looked high quality so out of curiosity I purchased it to compare. After using both systems for a few days my original 5-star review is validated. The Clscea system blew it out of the water. The Clscea regulator is much easier to dial-in and maintain its setting whereas the Chihiros regulator would constantly change and in some cases completely stop the flow of co2. If you want a budget co2 system it doesn’t get better than the Clscea.I’ve been in the nature aquarium hobby for quite some time and have used CO2 systems that cost quadruple this price. I was very hesitant to try a “DIY” CO2 kit since all of my previous systems were pressurized, but that said, I decided to try this out because my nano tank is only 2g and I didn’t want to spend hundreds of dollars on a CO2 system. When I received the kit I was surprised with the quality the canister and most of the components - the biggest downside is the included diffuser which is made of cheap plastic. While the diffuser does work, I would definitely recommend buying a higher quality diffuser and one sized for your tank.Set-up was really easy however I wish Clscea included a scoop for the ingredients instead of simply instructing you to use "grams". I took another reviewers advice and used a 1/4 cup however I don't think that measurement is entirely accurate so I'd recommend using a coffee scale if you have one. Overall everything went smoothly - just remember to install the inner filter first before screwing on the regulator. Now that I've had the system running for a few days I will say I'm incredibly impressed with how easy it was to set-up and the quality of the solenoid and regulator. Because my tank is so small I needed a really precise regulator to get to ~5-6 bubbles per second and I had zero issues achieving that with this kit. I also have the solenoid on a timer and it works perfectly without any change to the regulator setting after turning back on.Overall I highly recommend this kit (so far) as long as the solenoid doesn't require maintenance too often, that's really the only potential downside. Good news is Clscea does sell parts on Amazon in case you need too replace it. But OOTB for the price I definitely recommend giving this a try.

The media could not be loaded. I would recommend this for a nano aquarium and I am running it on a 5.5 gallon aquarium.The system is easy to set up and comes with a good CO2 diffuser, I am getting very fine consistent micro bubbles. I ran the CO2 for 12 hours a day, 1 bubble every 2 seconds and got 28 days of CO2. 25 days without needing to make any adjustments, the last 3 days I had to back out the needle valve to increased the flow as the CO2 ran low.It took me about 15 minutes to clean and recharge the system. The system takes several hours to build to full pressure but you can start using it right away, no need to wait for it to build pressure.The included solenoid made it easy to add a timer, I used a smart plug and run the timer through Alexa.The system does not come with a drop checker, citric acid or baking soda but these are very inexpensive. If you buy the 2 pound bags of citric acid and baking soda you should get about 9 refills out of them. At the price I paid the cost to refill was less than $2.50.I have had no issues with this system. It works perfectly and I would recommend it.

This is a high quality set up that gives you everything you need to pump CO2 into an aquarium. The directions are clear and written in a paper booklet as well as on a sticker on the CO2 tank. They even offer YouTube videos for those who are more visual learners. Hopefully, the company will be around a while because they currently offer a wide array of replacement parts for items that will wear out over time. Great kit.

I've used pressurized CO2, DIY with yeast, and even the little paintball canisters to get CO2 into my tanks.This isn't as good as pressurized CO2 (obviously), but is far cheaper. And way more repeatable than DIY and each charge lasts longer than those little paintball canisters. And cheaper over time.The instructions are rather annoying, so after running a couple of fills with this kit, I've found the following:Use 1/4 cup measuring cup. For the citric acid, I use flat scoops. For the baking soda, just a tiny bit proud of the scoops. Instead of messing with grams or whatever. I then add reverse osmosis water (my measuring cup does ml as well as cups and ounces, so it was easy).Once you add the 3 ingredients, screw on the valve. DO NOT REMOVE THE VALVE! The contents will spray everywhere and it forms pretty hard crystals. My first time I'd forgotten the moisture filter, and since it had only been like 5 seconds thought it would be safe. It wasn't. :)The solenoid valve is nice as you can put it on a timer to shut off when the lights are off. Saves CO2 and prevents a pH crash at night.If you live where your water has a pH of around 7, the color changing drop checker is great for measuring the amount of CO2. If your water is like mine, pH of 8.5 and all the hardness, you need to use a pH test. Get a baseline. Then adjust your valve to one bubble per second. Run for a few hours and take another pH test. If the pH dropped more than one whole number, back off the CO2. You want to target a change of .5 to start with. Monitor your tank (nitrates and plant growth) then adjust further.Once you're settled where your tank is happy, count the bubbles. Then you'll be able to easily repeat the settings going forward.

I didn't have high expectations for this item, having come from a paintball CO2 system years ago. This thing is fantastic for the price, although I do wish the diffuser was glass instead of plastic, that's a small nitpick as it works perfectly. Everything else, from the canister, gauge, needle valve and solenoid are high quality, and I expect them to last awhile. I was up and running within 1/2 an hour, from unboxing to finish. Strongly recommend the 1.3l system for a nano tank - mine is a 5 gal and this is perfect for it. This deserves a higher overall rating than it has.
