Timeless: A Starcrossed Novel (Starcrossed, 5)

Awesome installment in the Starcrossed series! Gets better with every book!
First off, I can’t say this enough, Timeless gets ALLLLL the stars!!! Some might have doubts about continuing a series after a lengthy break, what with Goddess having been published a decade ago, but no, this notion couldn’t be more wrong.Timeless picks up shortly after Goddess ends. It flows smoothly, but even better than before, because it’s obvious that Josie’s writing craft has only gotten better with time. There are so many plot twists I wasn’t expecting, which at this point in my life where I feel so jaded, having read so many tropes and genres, this was a very pleasant surprise. There’s the tension of Zeus trying to escape his imprisonment in Everyland, gods, titans, monsters and other mythical entities popping up, Helen and Lucas’ relationship progress, Claire’s new abilities now that she’s immortal, the mystery surrounding Helen’s dad, the four houses interacting… SOOOO MANY THINGS!But my personal favorite, and a top theme in the Starcrossed series, is the friendship theme. Helen putting such importance on her friendships, maintaining them, being there for them, and this being a two way street, that’s probably my favorite thing from this series (and that’s huge considering how much I love Lucas!). In Timeless, we especially see the friendship between Helen, Lucas, and Orion strengthening, but especially between Helen and Orion. That was a special treat. Then there’s the deep friendship between Helen and Hector (I was so happy that both Orion and Hector feature so prominently in this book, yay!). So yes, Timeless really concentrates on the bonds of friendship, and it was a beautiful thing to read.Another important theme that Josie nicely develops is a woman’s agency, or lack thereof, and how women have the power to either build each other up, or tear each other down. It’s amazing that this theme has persisted through history, common in Greek mythology but obviously based on truth, and brought up to present times in Timeless. This was such an awesome story to sink my teeth into, and it just really wet my appetite for the next installment. It was such a pleasure to dive back into Helen’s world.

The most perfect continuation
Wow! I don’t even know where to begin, but I absolutely loved this book. Ever since I finished the Starcrossed trilogy I have been hoping for more books and Josie delivered!! Last year she released Scions, which was an amazing prequel to the series and today she’s released Timeless! Getting to read more about Helen, Lucas, and the rest of the Delos clan has been one hell of a rollercoaster of emotions. I cried so much reading this book, but in the best possible way! I love when a book can bring me to tears and this book definitely did that.Ending on a cliffhanger I 10000% need the next book ASAP because I cannot stop thinking about what is going to happen next. To those who are questioning if it is worth it to start this series…START IT NOW!!! It is a perfect Greek mythology series that you will absolutely LOVE if you were a Percy Jackson fan. I cannot recommend this series enough so I will never stop :’)Thank you so much to Sungrazer Publishing for sending me an eARC and giving me an opportunity to read this book early!

HUGE CLIFFHANGER
Ok, so I LOVED the starcrossed trilogy (obviously, because why else would I read this?) and I have mixed feelings about this book. I did enjoy it, but I also had a lot of feelings that weren’t as good about it.I feel like the characters themselves have changed a lot from the original trilogy, and not entirely in a way that makes sense. Helen, Orion, Hector, Lucas (especially Lucas), Claire, and even Jason all have very different traits than they did before, and I don’t think they all made sense story wise.Lucas has always been my favorite by a ton, and I found him basically unlikeable by the end of this. Helen got on my nerves the entire book, and I just didn’t have the same good feelings about the book as a whole. To be fair though, I don’t do well with unexpected cliffhangers, so that was definitely a factor, and the book has had me thinking about it nonstop since I finished it. So I’ll definitely read the next one, and hopefully my feelings will change when it comes out, but I’m definitely ambivalent about this book in the series.

Another great addition to my favorite series of all time! I absolutely cannot wait for the next/last one. Seriously I have ARCs that of the first 3, I have bought them for my libraries, and for my ereader.

love this series
It ended on another cliffhanger and I have to wait so long for the next one noooo! This was probably my least favorite book in the series but it’s still good and sets up for even more adventures.

Okay......
So Helen and Lucas can be happy? Wrong. As we know Lucas has made the vow to become the next Hades and Helen had thought it was eons away. But why doesn't he spend the night with her anymore? He's changing, becoming more distant with each day. Zeus is fighting every day by ruining her country/world so she feels ill a lot. She has to find a way to stop him. She also has 3 tasks to complete, which involve going back in time, because you remember they turned up in book 4, when Daphne was young. Will they find a way to win. Also the town are on a down with Helen as Orion, as her shield her protector. How will it end? Who knows.

The Epic sequel to the Starcrossed Series ✨
Ten years have passed since the release of Goddess. Timeless is the epic sequel to the Starcrossed series. Finally, after defeating and locking up Zeus in Everyland, Helen’s life seems to be back to normal, at least by the standards of a Scion.Like any teenager, Helen is looking for college, boy trouble, and bullies at school. But lately, she feels tired, more than usual, and she constantly has a headache. The headache has a name: Zeus.He hasn’t given up yet and wants Helen to know that he will make her pay for defeating him. Because Everyland’s borders still belong to Helen, he drains her of her powers and energy. Helen knows if she doesn’t act fast, not just her life will be threatened. This book follows once again Helen’s POV. The adventure begins when Hecate claims her three tasks for Helen. The first one brings her and Lucas directly to Cronus, the titan of time, who sends them back in time, straight into New York in the 90s.Helen and Lucas meet familiar faces, but also new ones. But what to do when time isn’t on your side? The other tasks given by Hecate are to be done without Lucas since his secrets have become bigger and bigger. His strange behavior was a mysterium from the beginning of the book, vanishing at night and keeping quiet about his future college plans, but instead of telling Helen, he asks her to just trust him.But doubts are beginning to form in Helen. Will their relationship survive Lucas’s secrets? While Lucas disappears more often Helen starts to become closer and closer to Orion and Hector. Her heart is once again tested. In the first half of the book, not much happens. It seems more like an introduction to the second half. But the second half is really a gem. Josephine Angelini kept me glued to the pages and I couldn’t stop reading! The only thing that made me "sad" about this book is that the side characters are a little overshadowed. Claire, Jason, Ariadne, andCassandra, as well as the rest of the DelosFamily, are mentioned briefly but without much detail. I hope to see more of them in the next book!I'm really curious to see what happens next, especially since Timeless ends with a huge cliffhanger.Thank you Sungrazer publishing for the opportunity to read this book as an eARC!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️,5/5 ⭐️

Love love love!
When the release of Scions was announced, I was so ridiculously excited. But when I read it, I was quite disappointed. Not because of the story or how well it was written, but because I craved more of Helen and Lucas and all the rest of the characters. So when Timeless was announced, I knew before I even ordered it that I would love it. I was not disappointed! Although parts of the book did feel rushed, I fell back in love with the characters instantly. The drama of where Helen and Lucas’ relationship is at the end of the book has me screaming internally but also gripped and excited to see where the author will take it to next. There are only 2 things that I hated about this book… the first being how ridiculous my ‘book hangover’ will be now that I’ve finished it. And the second being how much I will miss all of the characters again, until the next book in the series is released.Thank you Josephine Angelini. Never stop doing what you’re doing.

Good follow up
After so many years after the third book, this was a great carry on for the series. Though the pain and heartbreak I felt throughout this book I won't forgive the author for! But only a talented one can make you feel that!
