It works well
I have two of these now. The first I installed in a fan that had been controlled by pulls (one of which broke, hence the addition of a remote control) and couldn't get it to fit within the confines of a small canopy. Had to buy larger canopy. The second was installed by an electrician, who had no problem. Both work fine. Far less expensive than the remote from the fan manufacturer.

Read label on Receiver!!!
The original receiver installed with our Emerson Loft fan melted!!! Ordered this replacement for half the price as the same one sold by Emerson. It works perfectly. However, make sure to read the label on the receiver BEFORE installation! If the code on the remote has been changed from the factory setting hold and press the on button on the remote within 60 seconds after the BREAKER SWITCH (not the fan power button!) has been turned back on. It took us a while to figure it out since it is not explained in the instructions, only on a label on the receiver which was installed already.

Purchased this remote to add remote control to my ceiling fan. It fit and works well. I am happy with the unit and would recommend.

Great product! Easy install.
Very easy to install. I needed a remote and receiver because the wall control unit that came with the fan was too big to fit in the electrical box containing the old light switch. My house is 1927 built so the electrical boxes are smaller metal ones and the wiring is older cloth wrapped wire so takes up more room in the box. Anyway needed to get this product.Wiring was straightforward. But again because I have older wiring it took up more room in the bracket holding the ceiling fan motor. After some rewiring I got the receiver to fit within the bracket and mounted the fan again and flipped the power back on and turned on the light switch. The fan didn’t come on. Pressed power on remote and still nothing. Pressed one of the fan speed buttons and it came on. All speeds work and the power button works now too. And remembers the last speed setting. Also I never had to adjust the little numbers inside the remote that the directions tell you to but maybe that’s because I don’t have the wall unit control.

Works great!
Easy to install and the shape of the remote makes it easy to use. Should have done this years ago.

If you need a 4 speed remotez this is it!
I needed a four speed remote for my ceiling fan. I used a three speed one for a while, but I think it burned out and never properly controlled the fan due to the extra setting. This remote is just like any other to install. There is no noise when controlling the fan or light. Overall works well and have had no problems since the install.Minor con: A little expensive compared to others, but no other 4 speed remotes on the marketPros: 4 speed. Also, if you are experiencing interference you have to completely cut the power to the fan/remote to change the code. (Either a switch or circuit breaker). This is better than having to take the fan apart to change the code on the receiver too.Overall good buy.

High quality and easy to install
I bought this to go with an Emerson loft fan, which I purchased from a place other than amazon.com.The remote is very easy to install. It wires inline with the incoming power lines (between your home wiring and the fan's wiring) and fits neatly into the bracket that hangs the fan. Emerson gives you tons of fan cable so you can easily cut it to the lengths required for a neat installation. The remote and receiver work reliably, which is more than I can say for some Harbor Breeze fans I've bought from Lowes where I was constantly having to buy new batteries, jiggle the power to the fan, and mess around pressing buttons to get the fan into a state where the remote would respond predictably. The Lowes fans also had strange delays where it would take 15 seconds or more sometimes for the fan to respond to a command; I've had no such issues with the Emerson fan.The Emerson remote also takes traditional AAA batteries which is a lot more sensible than the Lowes fans I've bought, which require an odd and expensive little 12V battery.Overall I'm very happy with the quality of Emerson's remote and fan alike. The fan is silent and operates smoothly and the remote works exactly as you'd expect.

Worked perfectly for me
I've purchased the 4 speed fan controller because I am using it in my bedroom and the fourth speed seems to me to be slightly slower than my fans "low" speed. It moves the air but doesn't seem to bother me while I am sleeping, which it would bother me on the regular low speed. Remote holster is convenient when mounted next to the light/fan wall switch.

Easy to use
This remote was very easy to link to my fan and very simple to use.
