Gethsemani Farms Kentucky Bourbon Fruitcake

This fruitcake is so good! Very moist and loaded with fruit and nuts. Not dense, and you can realy taste the bourbon too. Very well packaged for freshness. A bit pricey, but well worth it. Fruitcake lovers will really enjoy this cake.

This fruitcake will be liked by even those who may not like fruit cake. Just the right amount of moist cake to fruit. Light on nuts. Even kids will like it. Just a slight taste of Bourbon that I didn’t notice until the last slice. And it supports the monastery. Comes in nice can.

Okay, no jokes, this fruitcake is delicious. My family always had the Collin Street Bakery fruitcake growing up, but...I think...this one is better. I'm usually averse to glace cherries, but these didn't have that waxy mouth feel: I actually picked them out to eat them, rather than set them aside in a pile for my husband to eat later. He's like Mikey from the Life cereal commercials of old when it comes to sweets. Any chocolates rejected by the ladies of the house (we certainly do NOT pinch holes in the bottoms to check the contents and I can't imagine why you would suggest such a thing) find a ready and appreciative audience in himself. But he didn't get one mouthful of this fruitcake.

Delicious! There are people that like fruitcake, and people that don't. I'm in the YAY Fruitcake camp. This cake is moist and packed FULL of goodies. You can definitely taste the booze - which my Mom didn't like, but I don't mind. Fruitcake gets a bad rap. This one is very good and I'll remember it the next time I'm having a craving - providing it's available.

What is there to dislike with this Fruitcake? Even my wife (who is not a big fruit cake lover) ate many slices. She LOVED it!! In fact I almost had to hide it to keep her from eating more of it than I. It is now gone and I have considered ordering another one. By the way this cake is darker than a Claxton cake and tastes way much better. I highly recommend this fruit cake if you want a really good one.

Absolutely the best fruitcake in the world! The incredible mix of ingredients combine perfectly to make the most delicious fruitcake in the world. I would highly recommend it to be given as gifts or, if you are greedy like me, just slice off a small portion and keep the rest to indulge in. Amazing!
