You cannot imagine how something so simple is so useful. We have wood floors. When I bough the stand for my kid I did not give it much thought, I love it because is solid and stable, but there was only one carpet I could place it at. Now with this we are free :). We have a green stand and I like the look as well, it has shoes :)
