There is an entire industry delivering freeze dried and wet meals in bags to hikers and campers. The cost is crazy. What if you cooked your own favourite recipe - bolognese, chicken supreme, beef stroganoff...name your tune...and put it in a bag to heat up and if you are careful re-use the bag. Great way to eat well at a much lower cost in the hills. Highly recommended.
