I bought this potters wheel to use on a table (it's nowhere tall enough to use on the floor). The foot pedal cord is so short (approx 1m) it does not reach the floor(!), and the only way I could get it on the floor was to splice in a piece of 3-wire cable - with two joins (because I didn't want to interfere with the complex wiring inside the turn table). Most people won't want, and/or be able, to do this.My second grip with this is that the foot pedal is really light, cheap, flimsy, plastic - with a non-rubberised bottom - so it doesn't stay in place. It's so light it's a struggle to place on the floor without it wondering due to the tension in the wire! I have other machines with foot pedals, and they are heavy metal devices with rubber feet - and they stay still!The turntable table is fine, but because the foot pedal is integrated, I can't recommend it at all.
