Perfect for all my needs - in constant use!
I have cataracts and find this lamp invaluable for close work when I am sitting in the comfort of the sitting room and not in my studio. It is perfect for embroidery as the lamp is bright (three settings) and daylight in colour, and the gooseneck is easy to manipulate. In daylight you can also use it as a simple magnifier without turning on the lamp. I haven't really used the clip-on stand as I have it clamped to the edge of my table, but I love the design of this - so clever - this was what attracted me to the lamp in the first place. The stand is easy to clip on and remove. The lamp is compact and convenient - much more so than the floor-standing version I have, and the strength of the magnifier is perfect. I have a small drawstring cloth bag which I put over the lens when the lamp is not in use, to protect it from dust. It is a good idea to do this with any magnifier if there is a danger of sunlight falling on it as this could cause a fire. This is the only slight drawback with this lamp, that the lens has no cover, but our room never gets direct sunlight so for me it isn't a problem. I also purchased a longer cable as the supplied one was a bit too short for my purposes. Highly recommended puchase - I am using this every day and wondered how I managed without it!

A great help for fiddly, close work.
Delighted with this, just what I needed. I don’t know why I didn’t get one before. Easy to position with the option of good, stable base or clamp and a good light for working on fiddly stuff without straining my eyes - and I can thread fine needles again no bother! Great value too.

Better than anticipated
Brought this to replace my old mains powered one. I must admit its very good.i use it for model building and as it has no mains lead its much better for moving about to where i want it.the brightness of the leds is very good and much more of a whiter light than my old one bulb version.Has a nice weight to it and feels well made.I like the grove in the top of the base, you can pop things in it like a pen or tweezers ext. When you bend the stem, it stays in place and feels solid.the magnification, for me, is very good and i can clearly see very small parts on my models when trying to glue or paint them.Over all I'm very happy with this lamp/magnifier.I would recommend, its brilliant in my opinion.

Nice but
Good lens for small work and little magnifying lens very handy.Down side is the battery life. It doesn’t last long so has to be permanent connected to mains for nice bright light.

Great
Very impressed with this magnifying glass. I use it to paint my nails and find splinters. It’s a great help when your eyesight isn’t the best anymore. USB charger and it’s quick and easy.

Poor build quality
The magnification is good, and the light element is changeable and good. However the wire connections are fragile and my wire split effectively rendering the light useless. This is a build quality issue and is in effect a fatal flaw.
