Honestly, when I opened the package, I felt my heart sink. The XL swim pants didn't look like they would fit a 12 year old girl much less a full figured chick like me. Despite my misgivings, I shimmied (or squirmed, depending on your perpspective) into these pants and was amazed that I actually love them. I am 5'8" and weigh 205, which usually translates into a size 14 jeans or 16 dress pant. I bought a size XL after looking at their sizing chart, and reading reviews. These swim leggings fit very snuggly, which is a good thing when swimming and diving. They are a nice thickness, and feel well made. I have to say, I am very pleased with my purchase.***I paid full price for these leggings and did not receive any compensation for this review. I used these tights for a recent trip to Hawaii. I'm so pale I'm almost translucent and I only burn. At first, I was a little paranoid and used sunblock under the tights but then went sunblock free and still was out in the water for hours without burning, even at midday. Sweet! Also, as a snorkeler, I was glad to not wear sunblock in the water since it is harmful to the reefs and their residents.Size wise, this fit exactly as expected. I'm 5'10" and a size 16. The XL were long enough and the tights didn't pinch at all. I was able to wear them for hours and they were always comfortable.As others mentioned, there is no gusset or lining so you need to wear your swim suit under them but that's not a big deal, especially at this price.

I got these swim tights for a two week snorkel trip on the Sea of Cortez in August. With my strong family history of skin cancer, I was concerned about that much sun and the intensity at that time of year. We were out in the water every day. The tights are light weight and dry quickly. I didn't feel like I had heavy soggy pants on. They are form fitting so no drag in the water. The stripe gives a little sporty accent. I didn't feel frumpy swimming with the other bikinis; just smart and sporty. Got no sun or color under them--my goal. They are on the high waisted side, and long enough to reach the ankles for maximum coverage. I was really really pleased with them and would buy them again. In fact, I have 2 pair!5'6", 130 pounds, size 4-6, the Small was good, could have worn a x small if I wanted really tight. Medium would have been way too big.

I’m 5’5” and almost 160, I got the large, they were a little loose around my hips but they kept me warm and confident scampering about the beaches of Hawaii, give them a try.

They actually sent me a different pant free of charge that was great! Really nice company with great customer service =)I ordered three of these in various colors in size XL (I'm 6'1" and 184 pounds) and I so badly wished they would have worked out for me. They fit great, even in the length since they had so much stretch (and I have a 34"-35" inseam measurement) and they really are super cute.My complaint and the reason that I ended up sending these back was the lack of either a liner or a sewn in crotch gusset. I bought these with the intention of wearing while scuba diving/snorkeling and didn't feel that they would be thick enough or not chafe areas you'd rather not have chafe without either the liner or gusset. Otherwise you end up needing to wear a swim suit bottom underneath (which I didn't want to have to do because it holds more water and takes longer to dry in-between dives)If the company makes that change though I'll be back to buy one in each of the colors! =)

I bought these for swimming (outdoor, in a pool) because I hate putting on sunscreen. I love them! They are comfortable to swim in, and they seem to do a good job of blocking the sun. I’ve yet to notice any sunburn or tanning on my legs. (Granted, I do wait until the UV index hits 2 before I go out.)My only complaint is that I have to roll the top down once for them to fit comfortably. Since the elastic of the waistband is in a pocket, it slides around and comes unrolled. However, this is the way ALL leggings fit me, not just this particular pair, so other people will likely not have this problem.I’m 5’2”, 124 lbs, and I ordered a small. I found it fit true to size. I probably would have gotten an XS had it been available, but S is good enough.

I have had melanoma stage 3a and am back in the swim after two years of surgeries and immunotherapy. I swim in the ocean in Hawaii as part of triathlon training. It was important for me to cover up and not have too much drag. For the North Shore Swim Series, sun protection suits were approved as long as they didn't provide a speed advantage. After wearing a different neck to ankle suit that was a real drag, I bought these pants to wear with tops. The thick waistband is sufficiently high, and snug enough to stay put. I tuck the shirt in and I have no problems. I didn't feel the top and these pants held me back at all. I am sold on these.
