As Advertised!
Here's a short list of my pros and cons: Pros: - Very affordable - Provides a plush and cozy sleeping surface that contours to the body - Despite its slim profile, this mattress offers excellent support, promoting proper spinal alignment and reducing pressure points - Offers an authentic Japanese design which is pleasing addition to any room - Various uses: meditation, reading, and guest bed or kids liking to use it for movie night - Easy to fold and store Cons: - It’s a little stiff to fold at first but starts to fold easier after a few uses. I fold mine up during the day and place my blanket and pillow on top of it - As a floor mattress, it may be too close to the ground for some users, which could make getting in and out of bed more challenging, especially for individuals with mobility issues. This isn't specific to this mattress, but to all floor mattresses. Overall, I am very happy and will buy another in the near future.

Pleasantly Surprised by the Comfort and Support of my Japanese Floor Mattress!
I recently purchased a Japanese floor mattress and wanted to wait for a full couple months of use to leave a full review, and I have to say, I'm thrilled with my purchase! Who knew sleeping on the floor could be so good? I wasn't sure what to expect, but this mattress has exceeded my expectations in terms of comfort and support. Speaking of support, this Japanese floor mattress delivers! Despite being a thinner mattress, it’s been designed designed for floor use, and provides excellent support head to toe. I was nervous about back pain but there is none - I wake up feeling refreshed. The inclusion of a cover with the mattress is also a big plus. The cover is soft and made with high-quality materials that feels great against my skin. It's also removable and easy to clean, which is a convenient feature.

Great product & Awesome customer service!!
It’s my second time ordering it. The first one was really great, so comfortable. This time I ordered a bigger size to fit my sofa couch. The mattress is still great, but the cover wasn’t. It has a stitching issue on one end so it looks teared for about 3 inches. I don’t feel like packing it and return so I just left it as is. Not sure if seller can do anything about that. **12/17/2024 update: After the seller found out what happened, they immediately sent me a brand new cover, along with a handwritten card! It shows how much they care about their customers and the product quality! I’m impressed! I’m glad to see such a great company with great product and customer support that stands out in today’s market. I highly recommend their mattress. Will order more in the future when I need more 👍

Thick as advertised. Substantial. Maybe too substantial?
This was my second attempt at a foam-padded shikibuton, after the first was too flimsy and got flatter over time. I was impressed by the reviews and inclusion of a cotton cover, and entered with high hopes. Here are impressions after 2-3 weeks, which I will update if they change with more time. Mattress: This one is solid-feeling and substantial. It seems the advertised 3+ inch thickness and quite firm, such that I feel I’m resting on the shikibuton rather than on the surface underneath. Side-sleeping is comfortable without pressure points. I take off one star, and am looking at yet other options, because by the later part of the night I start to develop upper-back pain between the shoulder blades. This wasn’t an issue even with the thin and collapsing shikibuton I used previously, so I am a bit surprised. Feels as though maybe my shoulders do not sink in enough for straight spine alignment. Cover: Seems of at least as good quality as one I purchased for around $50 for a past shikibuton. The zipper operates smoothly and it fits the shikibuton with some room to spare. I machine-washed without problems, but hung it to dry out of an excess of caution, so can’t attest to shrinkage there. Overall I am impressed and would consider it a worthwhile buy even for a different shikibuton if they were sold separately. Portability and storage: I haven’t had occasion to weigh on a scale but it feels 10-15 pounds consistent with the description. It is too heavy and stiff to shake out like a blanket, but can be held up and kicked to knock off dust. It folds pretty easily in 3 sections and will stay in that shape after some pushing down, without having to tie or weight in place. Also able to be rolled with slightly more effort, but I had to brace it against a wall or headboard to hold that shape. Overall, I seem to be an outlier regarding the upper back pain, and I have not seen any defects or quality concerns. Quality seems good, it is reasonably compact and stowable, and the relatively low price and nice cover make it feel like it will not be too much of a loss even if I opt for another similar-sized shikibuton. As such I give it a favorable review although it doesn’t feel quite ideal for me.

I take it car camping every weekend
It's the best sleeping pad I've owned. The density and depth, while still being light and foldable in thirds is what sets it apart. I get real sleep when I take it camping, thanks to the width and comfort factors.

Inaccurate Sizing, but Comfortable. :)
Overall : I am impressed with this sleeping mat. I deducted 2 stars because the size is inaccurate. We purchased 2 twins (advertised as 39” in width). They are each 36” Combining both we lost 6” in space - which makes a difference when you are co-sleeping with your babies! The firmness is great, they are plush but supportive. They are perfect for bed sharing with your little ones so they won’t fall off the bed, or get smushed or rolled into the mattress. I wish they were bigger or else they would’ve been 5 stars! We purchased to have as our guest bed while staying with family. They are easy to roll up. We bought separate bed covers for them, then put a king fitted sheet over both to keep them together as one bed. It is comfortable. Recommendation: Seller should update size to reflect true width.
