I was expecting some profound insight into the profile of an All Black. There is a lot of alignment towards heritage of a New Zealander. Although this would be true for some All Black greats the Maori and Pacific Islanders would not have this heritage.For me I was looking for the character traits and discipline that are recognisable from which a great All Black can be discovered.

Fantastic team read and ethos

I have a number of books on rugby including a few on the All Blacks. It is so true that the All Blacks concept and their history is phenomenal in the world of sport as so many of their members are legends. But even looking at these books on my bookshelf seem to stand out. It seems their reverence goes beyond the field of play.Highly recommended indeed get into the legend, any good rugby fan will certainly not be disappointed with this book.

Bought this for my lecture at university when he left as he was a big fan of the blacks and what they stand for. He loves the book and made his day. He is very missed I wouldnt of got through the first year without him x

Amazing book, takes you all the way back to settlement in NZ to understand some of the roots which the All Blacks have grown from. Touches on a lot of different subjects from schools, women’s teams, coaches etc

Interesting feedback from past and preset All Blacks. Very little hisory on the jersey. A very short read and a little disappointing overall.
