Our little man will only sleep on his side and has started to roll over in his sleep on his tummy. Since he can roll back over we were told it's ok, but he face plants sometimes which is scary. We found this mattress and immediately got it and love it. We put our faces against it and you CAN breath through it. Very easy to take off, wash, and put back on the breathable mattress cover. Also comfortable, little man sleeps through the night on it. Definitely worth the money for our peace of mind. Fits our crib perfect and it's very light and sturdy.

Love this crib mattress so much I've bought 2 so both kids will have one.The BEST factor for a parent is this ENTIRE thing can be dismantled & washed. No more vomit or poo caught in a crease or embedded in the fabric or material. I already had to completely take it apart to clean it 2 weeks after our purchase for an early morning vomit explosion from our child & I could throw all the materials in the washer & hose the inner block with our shower sprayer. There is absolutely no smell or staining left over.I replaced our previous crib mattress with this because of the washable factor & it seems our child sleeps better on this one as the other was too stiff & had too much of a crinkle sound when she moved around. The Newton is both firm enough for a newborn/toddler while still having enough give that it doesn't feel like laying on a board. Plus it gives peace of mind if they roll over face down. You can breathe right through it with ease. This mattress will be ideal when going through the potty training phase as well for the cleaning factor. Super happy with this purchase even though it was an investment.

It’s lightweight and extremely soft. Putting sheets on is easy and it fit our crib perfectly! My baby use to cosleeping but prefers her own bed and I can’t blame her, her bed is better than mine! We think it’s worth the money and would buy it again in a heartbeat, you can’t beat the quality!

Very nice high quality mattress that is 100% breathable

Our baby makes really bad decisions.He prefers to sleep on his face. Not head tilted slighty to the left or the right - he sleeps square on his tiny, baby face. We tried moving him - again and again and again and failed miserably each time. We tried explaining that his choices were poor, but that also ended in failure. We tried reasoning, and failed before we started.I found this through Google at 3am with search terms, "baby face sleeper" or something equally desperate. I bought it immediately, it arrived 2 days later, and it works.I know my kid will continue to make questionable choices, and I will have to continue to try and find solutions. This is the best solution for our face-sleeper.Thanks, Newton. Our baby can now certainly breathe, which means I can sleep.Update: we've had the mattress for about nine months and still love it. Kiddo sleeps well; it's very cool because of the air circulation, which is perfect for Florida; and it is very easy to clean, and I've cleaned both the cover and the interior portion. I continue to recommend this to any parents who are worried about their goofy, little face sleepers.

Excellent crib mattress

Safe sleep and car safety are two things that are non negotiable and should be splurged on, if possible. This mattress is light weight, easy to clean, and gives peace of mind. Baby always seems comfortable on it and I can sleep comfortably knowing he is safe and comfortable. I haven’t had to clean it yet, but I’m looking forward to the day I get that privilege because it’s so easy to clean!

I caved and bought this mattress for the “breathability”. It’s a nice firm non smelling mattress. I’m a bit paranoid with my “rainbow” baby so I went for it. It’s not bad and I sleep comfortably knowing my little is in it.
