Becoming Neat! is really achievable!
What a wonderful book. Not as I expected. It was not a heavy read but brief and to the point. There is no blame, no guilt attached to the reader instead the author Heather allows you to acknowledge your strengths referring to the ability of messers as having laser focus. Heather tells us to put on our clear vision shield and reassess those areas we walk by that need our attention. The author refers to the use of freely available work sheets in her website. The reader is inspired to use technology such as scanning letters that we usually stack up for attention later. The author has cleverly highlighted her deep understanding of the busy parent and how a neater home can be easily achievable with ten steps. I shall recommend this book to friends that may appreciate it as I do.

Relatable, almost as if the author knows me
Great book; succinct and to the point. The author is very relatable with an easy writing style. Will enjoy putting the suggestions into practice without getting bogged down in endless lists.

clear, calm and inspiring.
I am a mess maker with laser focus. This book makes so much sense and has helped me to organise my good habits into a structured routine to stay tidy. The clear practical advice is what I have been looking for - I’ve had all the ingredients to be neat - but haven’t found a way to organise my time. I love the downloadable checklists that come with the book (free off the website)but can also be purchased.

Really funny. Really useful.
We all have busy lives and keeping on top of our commitments is an ongoing challenge. Having a messy home environment can be stressful for some, a silent accusation of failure for others. Heather offers a considered, creative and genuinely useful strategy for creating your own haven of calm and order. It's very witty and well-written too.

Easy Read, very insightful!
I read this book in an evening on my Kindle. I found it well written, informative, encouraging, and helpful.I plan to put the steps in play immediately and anticipate favorable results....peace and calmness in my home and life. I think I will read it several times and at least once a year after that. I am 72 years old and want more out of life than continually dealing with the Clutter Monster and being able to pot plants from the accumulated Dust Buddies resting on every surface. P. S. I am on a first name basis with the Clutter Monster and Dust Buddies, but it is time for them to take up residence elsewhere!

I wish longer books were like this one
This was amazing. Who'd have thought that a book about cleaning and tidying would make you look at your childhood and how it's affecting you as a child? The signal-to-noise ratio is incredible here. I found almost every word helpful. That's both in terms of content and formulation. The author is a great writer. In the end, this short book has a spot on summary of the main ideas. The only question is why is this so short? I wish longer books were structured as well as this.

very practical and helpful
Enjoyed the book. It was an easy read with easy steps to follow. Liked that it was written by a former Mess Maker and not a neat freak. Was able to relate very well. Would recommend!
