I finally used this Edible Ruby Red Glitter on my Butter Cookies this evening. I was wondering how well it would work on chocolate cookies. It stayed on well. Strangely enough, the glitter on these cookies turned out pink, and yet, the glitter really is red. It's a very small bottle, but my gosh, a tiny bit goes a long way, as you can see in my photos. I'll use less when I make the Vanilla Butter Cookies tomorrow. I also took a picture with the cap off to show that it has a 'sprinkle' option. That was quite helpful when tapping out what I needed. This was my first time working with modeling chocolate for the flowers and using edible glitter. I haven't tried this glitter in my Christmas Punch, but I will next week on Thanksgiving Day and at Christmas. I don't doubt that it will perform beautifully.

This product was perfect for my needs -cupcakes for a 5 year old “Barbie” theme party. The bright pink glitter sparkled perfectly on my pink frosting. The product also came with a sample size mini bottle of sprinkles. I put the candy sprinkles on the cupcake first and then evenly sprinkled the pink glitter dust on the frosting. The perforated top allowed for easy application of the glitter. The product also came with a brush to use if you prefer to mix with water and brush on. I decided to sprinkle directly for an intense look. The shimmer was beautiful! I will definitely use this product brand again for the holidays! Just note that because the glitter is fine, vigorous shaking may cause the glitter to settle on the counter and other surfaces.

This red was not a true deep red like the advertised picture shows, it’s more red/silvery pink almost. It changed the top of my cake color in a way that I didn’t like but the customer still said she loved it. I just wish it were a true deep glittery red like the advertised photo. It was easy to shake on top of the cake and came in a good small shaker size. Taste was fine like powdered sugar.
