I bought a set for myself, but LOVE these candles enough after use to gift them to many relatives. Several of those relatives have then bought sets as gifts to others because they love them so much. The remote is wonderful. The timer and other settings really are great. I like not having to worry about an open flame. These look very real when in use. But looking at them out of the box they seemed a bit tacky. They're great for my grandkids to use as night lights. They're handy in power outages also. I was so pleasantly surprised at how realistic they looked in use. I think I've given away 9 sets.

These candles are very unique! The flame movement is almost real. If you glanced at them you would not be able to tell they are fake. The movement is very random and life like. Timers work well as well as the remote. I would purchase again.

I first ordered these candles last Christmas. I loved them so much I ordered another set this year. They are very realistic and have a nice glow. A friend who was at my house for a Christmas dinner actually inspected them because she couldn't believe they weren't real candles! The remote works great too. I ordered another type but I didn't like those and returned them and reordered this brand.

These “candles” are great - they make the room feel so cozy - without worrying about starting a fire or a hand/tail getting burned. Remote works exactly as it should. I did have a problem with one of the candles, but the company resolved it immediately. Very impressed by the customer service, 10/10. Would absolutely buy again.

You won't break the bank and will be pleased! I have 2 very active kitties and I can use these instead of real candles, I have the thinner candles as well and they all work great! I have also purchased these as gifts and the recipients have loved them!

Love the flicker option and how many come in the package for the money!Bought in Dec and have had them in every night for 4-6 hrs a night and they are still going strong! Bought the Amazon battery pack with these.

I have been doing some Christmas crafts on the side to sell. I make these into a 9-piece nativity set. They are amazing! Everyone is so entranced with the flickering flame. Since it is made with real wax, the light given off looks more realistic. I actually have had people come up and touch the "flame" to doublecheck. The remotes are great, so the candles can be put up high. I did only give the remote 4 stars because the range can be a bit off, sometimes you have to sweep the remote across the set to make sure all the them turn off/on. Otherwise, a great product! Love them!

This is my first purchase of these candles. I wanted red for Christmas and they are very pretty and realistic looking. Be aware that if you choose the 'candle' mode on the remote which makes the flame actually flicker, the candles will make a clicking noise which is pretty annoying. This is the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5. However, if you select the 'light' mode, the flame won't move and the candles are totally silent. While they don't look quite as realistic in this mode, they still are very pretty and hard to tell the flame isn't real unless you look up close.

After reading a mixture of reviews by other customers I decided to take a chance on these. At first I thought the flickering mechanism was a bit naff, but I found, after a few evenings of getting used to them, they seemed quite natural. I think there is a tendency to stare at the new toy at first and you focus on any faults, but when they fade into the background, in a manner of speaking, they become a very pleasant, quite realistic, and perfectly safe decoration. All they lack is the smell of burning candle wax. I think what I would do is use these as background, dotted around the room perhaps, with real candles used for table decorations.You have to provide two AA batteries for each candle, and I don't know how long they last, but I get the impression from what I've read and past experience of LED torches that they should last several hundred hours, which suits me.I'd recommend them. Don't expect them to be 100% indistinguishable from real candles, but in my view they're not at all a bad imitation. It's hard to see how they could be any better, so they get 5 stars from me.

The brightness and flame effect of the candles are good, but the overall effect is ruined by the constant clicking sound of the plastic flame. I can't begin to understand how anyone could enjoy these with the constant 'tick-tick-tick-tick' in the background. Perhaps you could get used to it in time, but there has to be a better solution out there. A shame.

Based on the high reviews I decided for £15, to take the plunge. I go through real pillar candles almost weekly and it was started to get pricey to keep replacing them. These are fabulous, with the added bonus of the remote - they feel real and look real. When they're on they're very realistic and the flame bobs about in a very convincing manner.You have various setting on the remote - you can set the candle to 2hr 4hr or 6hr "burn times" and after this time they will turn off automatically. You can also adjust the brightness and choose candle or normal mode. (candle mode makes the lights inside flicker more) I've had them for weeks now and not had to change the batteries yet. Being flameless they're also great around pets and children.Love them! They look gorgeous in my lanterns.

Been looking for realistic “fake” candles for a large lantern for ages. After reading the reviews decided to give these a go. They are fantastic .... best I’ve seen anywhere. Like others commented, they would be even better if a bigger diameter but when the five are grouped together they give a wonderful, realistic flame glow..... the main joy of these is the fact that you need two AA batteries rather than the fiddly little penny/tiny button batteries, so if you get top quality at the beginning they last for simply ages. Like everything it depends how often you are putting them on but i bought these for a holiday home so we only use intermittently for a few hours at a time but so far they are perfect. I’ve bought two sets and the remote does both sets - the remote is a bit naff really but it does work - I find it best to direct it to each candle individually and they go on and off fine.... I’ve got them inside but have used them outside when having a BBQ and they are gorgeous. I have them on permanent flicker which I prefer as I think its more natural. The only downside is that they are real wax and as such if they are in the sun they will melt! As was commented “they look more real than ever now!”. Hmm..... !! Absolutely love them..... treat yourself you won’t be disappointed.

At first, when I bought these, I thought: will they look TOO fake? Will anyone believe I genuinely have flickering candles peppered all over my place, like some viscountess with dedicated candle-lighting housemaids? Turns out: THEY ARE BASICALLY REAL CANDLES, we are LAUGHING. Add 1 (one) London heat wave, 1 (one) hot window, and 1 (one) inattentive home-owner, and you’ve got the best of all possible worlds: fake candles that look like real candles, complete with sticking to your surface with melted wax. Abysmal battery life aside, I cannot fault these for realist candle-effect. They go from strength-to-strength, I love them.
