This humidifier is fantastic and the noise level is almost non-existent. Great value for the cost, some humidifiers are so so expensive and do the same thing as the others. Easy to set up and clean - similar to a lot of others in which there are some crevices to clean but if you use a little scrub brush you can easily get into the nooks and crannies. 3 levels of mist output and has a deep blue night light. My house is incredible dry so we are happy and comfortable with a little extra humidity!

The product is connected to the humidity detector under the condition of wifi connection, activate [Auto mode] when the target humidity is not set, the initial target humidity value is 60%; b. When the target set humidity is 5% higher than the ambient humidity, the machine will be set to produce fog according to the [1st gear humidification] c. When the target set humidity is 6-15% higher than the ambient humidity, it will work at [2 levels of humidification]. d. When the target set humidity is more than 16% higher than the ambient humidity, it will work at [3 levels of humidification]. Best Regards, Govee Support Team Edit/Update 12/17/22 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have learned through days of playing with the humidifier app settings that it does work with the H5100 thermo-hygrometer but not very effectively. I was able to set the humidifier on "auto" mode and it does go on and off in relation to the set humidity level. The problem is that it sets the mist level to level 5 of 9 when switched to auto mode which does not make enough mist to raise the humidity in my grow tent with LED lamp. It is also impossible to change the mist level when in auto mode as it is fixed at level 5. It does however make plenty of mist in manual mode at levels 6 and 7 so it is a keeper. I wish there was a fix for this, maybe in the future? Original post ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I like the humidifier, thermohygrometer and app a lot but the humidifier does not work in automatic mode. I have spoken to customer support and emailed tech support with no answer yet. The H5100 thermohygrometer is listed as to be obsolete in the Govee Home app and I suspect that it is not compatible with the distributed gateway or one or both of the units has a problem. For those new to Govee - the distributed gateway is a mesh type peer to peer network that does not require wifi connectivity. The humidifier makes more mist than my Levoit 2.4 liter teardrop shaped humidifier and has nice controls in both the app and on the unit and the thermometer/hygrometer seems to be fairly accurate. The unit does everything as well or better than I expected and I will keep it even though the auto mode does not work and hope to get it working in the future.

The smart humidifier comes with a smart hygrometer thermometer that you pair using the app. It is a cool mist humidifier and has an rgb light at the base; the rgb color and brightness can be adjusted and turned off using the app, so can the indicator lights. The app also allows you to manually control the mist level and duration or set it on auto mode where it will turn the mist on/off when it falls 3% below the target or reaches it, respectively. It also has an option to set a schedule or timer. In the app you can also monitor using the smart thermometer the temperature unit, relative humidity, dew point, and VPD all per hour, day, week, month, and year. I have mine in my bedroom and set it on auto with 50% target. I got it to combat the dry itchy skin in the winter months. Let me tell you my skin feels super soft, hydrated, plump and glowy in the few weeks that I've been using it.

Exactly what I needed a smart humidifier with an independent thermostat that you can place in another part of the room to get a more accurate reading. Govee products continue to surprise me, not only do these humidifiers come with a thermostat to sync to but the previous thermostats I had purchased in the past to monitor my rooms temperature and humidity are also compatible since they are also Govee that was surprising. Also, the customer service was pretty fast as I had purchased on the holiday weekend and thought I was getting the best deal only to find out a day later that the price dropped again. They quickly replied and remedied the situation. So I am happy with that. All around I love the features of this humidifier it fits very well into my needs and provides me with great control. You would think why does a humidifier need to be smart? but its really beneficial to have one that monitors the humidity and turns itself on and off accordingly as well as inform you that the water has run out especially if you have more than one in your home. Overall I like this purchase.

Their customer service is trash. I have a humidifier that stopped working, AND the app is acting up but only for the humidifier. I have other Govee products that seem to work just fine with the app. I emailed their customer support, they requested a video of the issue I sent it in, then no further communication. I went onto the website to chat with “a human”, they just kept telling me to wait 24 more hours. I finally called and they tried arguing with me that they did reply, they definitely did not. Their product stops working and they offer nothing besides a 20% off coupon for another one of their products. No thanks, I’d rather not buy any of their products if their customer service is this trashy. Their customer service use to be really great, hence the reason I have so many of their products, it’s really sad to see a company go down hill when they were once my favorite and I’d recommend them to people. Not anymore. I do not recommend Govee products.
