Pros: The meter looks nice. Screen is very clear. Easy to navigate. Comes with a carry case with two windows (one for the screen and one for the buttons) so you can use the meter with out taking it out of the case.Cons: Only one window on the carry case has protective plastic on it. If you put the meter in where the screen is protected by the plastic window then the case is upside down making it easy to drop the meter out of the case. If you put the meter in with the plastic window over the buttons then the screen has no protection but the case is right side up so the meter won't fall out. It would also be nice if the meter had a charging port with rechargeable batteries instead of 3x AA batteries. But the biggest con is the accuracy. With both ports covered so no light is getting in at all, it sits at -70dB but then fluctuates between -50 and -70dB every once in a while. If you set it down and leave it alone it will stay on -70dB but if you tap it, pick it up, tap the back side or just look at it wrong it will suddenly fluctuate between -70 and -50 for a second and go back to normal. I ordered two of these meters and both of them do this which tells me this is a design flaw.
