Feline Care Nutrition Weight Care Adult Dry Cat Food, 6 lb Bag

My cat was diagnosed with diabetes about 11 months ago. He was overweight, and the vet told us to put him on a diet. So I bought this food and started counting his daily calories. Since that time, he has lost over three pounds, and his diabetes has gone into remission. What is awesome is that he LOVES this dry food. So, ok, he's not a picky eater, but there are definitely some dry foods that he is not so jazzed about, and he is jazzed about this one. We also feed him the companion wet food (Royal Canin Feline Care Nutrition Weight Care Adult Thin Slices in Gravy). He's actually less jazzed about that wet food than he is about this dry food.

This is the only dry food my cat would eat, it’s the perfect food for him since he is a bit overweight, I still try to not give him more than his daily portion (even though it’s hard cause he is so cute when he is begging for food) but I so see a real change in his weight since we started with this type of dry food.

I have always been happy with royal canin. My cat thrives on it, and if I vary by giving her a different brand, then her coat and general wellbeing are diminished . Good lesson for me.

Good product. Nice not to have to run to the store. This is the lowest calorie food I have found. Most “weight loss” products on the market have just as many calories as regular cat food and my picky cat will eat it just fine.

I have a cat that is hungry 24 seven. I don’t like to feed him too much but I know he’s always hungry. He’s a very large cat so I do give him this dry food once a day and he loves it so much that he knocks over the canister I have it in to ask me for more. I cannot tell you how it taste obviously, but you would think something that was weight management would not taste good. He likes this better than any dry food that I have given him and I don’t have to worry about it adding weight to him. In addition, I do load this in my automatic feeder when I go away for one or two days and both my catseat all of the portions I a lot for them in the automatic feeder. It does come in a larger bag, but I bought this because it’s easier to handle as I am a senior citizen. It’s also a good bag to buy you want to try it before investing in the bigger bag.

Cat loved them! They even smell a little bit like real food so I’m satisfied that he’s getting something even moderately good/real.

I have very large rescue cat who is on a weight-loss program. I'm glad that this one does not fall under prescription status. You MUST read calorie content of cat food. 1 cup of dry food can range 300 calories to 450 calories. A cat requires 20 calories per target weight! This dry cat food is 254 cals per cup. I ordered a 14 lb bag, still pricer than commercial brands, but it lasts 2.5 months. As he gets closer to his goal, I can mix it with another brand. You cannot tell that he has lost weight because he is ALL floof!

ReviewsByMuse I have three cats. Two of them were gaining a bit of weight after their spay surgeries. I had them on the RC prescription formula for two years. This year I have transitioned them to the RC Weight Care adult formula. The cats like it just as well as the prescription version. This kibble piece is round with a hole in it like a popular breakfast cereal. They are easy to crunch and my picky eater gobbles them up. We've tried a few different brands of weight care dry food to supplement their wet and none have had the welcome reception from the cats like the RC brand. Highly recommended.
