A lot more fun than I expected
When Mason's eccentric aunt bequeaths the family ranch to him and his brothers, it's not without some rather unorthodox conditions. Not only do all the brothers have to marry, but at least one must have a child within a year. Spread out among the branches of the Armed Forces, none are really ready, especially to do so in such a rush, so Mason places an online ad for them all. Regan's answer is not at at all what Mason expects, but he's immediately intrigued and sets out to convince her that a life with him just might be what she needs.But... That title… I have to say that I probably saw this book a hundred times on different freebie lists, and I rolled my eyes at the title and just kept going. Is it supposed to be kitschy? I just figured it was some ridiculous drivel I would never want to read. But then months later I realized Cora Seton is a pretty popular author, and if there was ever a time to try reading a new (to me) author's work, it's when you can download the book from a retailer for free. I'm still kind of embarrassed to post this title on my site, though. It just doesn't get cheesier than this. The Verdict: Reagan won me over the second she replied to Masons wife-wanted ad. Ready to move forward with her life, despite the lack of husband or even somewhat significant romantic relationship, Regan's already made her appointment to be artificially inseminated and become a single mother. Sure, she'd prefer to have a husband by her side, but without any prospects on the horizon, she knows it's up to her. She doesn't immediately fall for the “wife wanted” ad she sees and really can't imagine the kind of woman it takes to agree to that kind of arrangement, but it's a nice fantasy. Lots of alcohol later, though, she ends up sending a ridiculous reply, immediately capturing the attention of one very hot Navy SEAL.Mason is a good guy, but rushing into marriage with a virtual stranger was not in his plans. However, he does want the family ranch back, and he can get it if he and his brothers all marry. They're not thrilled about the conditions either, but they're willing to do their part if it means getting back the house and land they love. Mason, though, is the only one nearing the end of his service, so it's up to him to get the ball rolling and fulfill the second part of his crazy aunt's conditions — having a child.Regan's response to Mason's ad was nothing short of hilarious. With the absurd list of qualifications she includes, the mention of wanting to lick him, and the photograph of just her foot, she was bound to stand out. She just didn't expect it would stand out all the way to the delete button. But Mason can't help but appreciate her wit, and they soon strike up an online relationship of sorts. Granted, she insists they can simply be friends, but now that he knows more about her, he's all about convincing her to give him a chance. Finally, she agrees to go with him to check out the ranch.Mason hopes the house and land will impress her enough that she'll see they can have a good life together, but what he finds is not what he expected. It seems the uncle who's had the property has pretty much let it fall apart, sold off just about everything of value, and left him with a money pit. To make matters worse, he ran up some debts locally, striking down the chance that Mason might get any of their neighbors to help him get the ranch and house back into shape.Again, though, Regan is not what Mason expected. Having now developed a solid friendship with Mason, along with a healthy level of attraction, Regan sees what Mason has to accomplish and wants to help him. She's not quite sold on forever yet, but there's no reason she can't see him through the challenge he now faces. Before long, they're working side by side, and while Regan's never lived the country life, she throws herself fully into every task, winning even more of Mason's respect. Their situation is certainly odd, but the more time they spend together, the more it becomes clear that they belong together. Regan's plans to have a baby fall in nicely with Mason's plans, though he plans on doing it the old fashioned way. But with the disrepair of the house and ranch, along with the gigantic obstacle of Mason's pride and sense of duty, they're facing an uphill battle. The Navy SEAL's E-mail Order Bride is a lot more fun than I expected, and I loved Regan from page one. Unlike other romances in which marriages are arranged, this story doesn't have that one person doing it out of desperation. Mason's being given a big shove, sure, but he's not looking to marry someone he has no interest in, and of course, Regan has every chance to back out if she wants to. The marriage of convenience plot line may be pretty typical, but the way these two take the time to know and then fall for each other makes it a great read. I just might have to grab the rest of the series.

A read you won't be able to put down
I always have one book I listen to and another I read, I was torn between wish one to finish they were both outstanding and I had a hard time putting them down. I was a little iffy with the title whether or not I wanted to read this. I had heard a lot of good things about this series and thought I would give it a try. It was really worth my time and money but I got this audio as a deal. At the time of this post the book is free, when you buy the book you get the audio for 1.99 on amazon. It did not take long for the author to pull me in with this humorous read. Just wait until you read the list of what this male wants in his bride and the reply Regan gives. I am still chuckling over that and do plan to listen to this audio again in the near future. I have marked the rest of the series to my list that I want to read or listen to. It will not take long for this author to pull you in and keep you turning the pages.Mason is coming out of the military when he gets a letter from his aunt that she will give him the land that was his families if he 1. get married 2. has a baby 3. get his brothers all married in a year. He really wants his families land back and is willing to do what he has to, to make this happen. The story starts off with him talking to his brothers telling them what they have to do. That he has setup a website with an ad....At this point you spend most of your time laughing away. These are strong alpha males who are charming, handsome and just darling as they take their women by storm. They must weed through thousands of emails to find their women. Mason receives an email that is a little on the strange side but man it gets his attention. He replies back and it doesn't take him long to work out this is the women he wants. now he just has to talk her into it......Regan is tired of waiting for the man of her dreams and decides to take matters into her own hands. She gives up her job, gets a lower place to rent, and makes plans to for artificial insemination. She is bored and drinking when she sees the ad for the mail order bride. She just couldn't stop herself from answering. Maybe she shouldn't have drunk so much or maybe she should have just waited until she isn't drinking or maybe she should not have answer the dang thing at all. You are going to die laughing to her answer and Mason's reply. These are two wonderful characters you will fall in love with as you watch them get through some very trying times. They find out what love means and how to get what they want with a lot of hard work.I thought Cassandra Livingston did a really good job of narration. It did take me a little to get into her male character voices. It didn't take long for the story to take over and any problems I had went away. There are no background noises, her tones are even, and you cannot tell if she takes any breaks just a clear wonderful audio. You have no trouble knowing who is talking and what their emotions are. I am looking forward to listening to more authors from this narrator.Ms. Seton gives you wonderful character that you can relate to. She puts a spin on the mail order bride updating it today times. She gives you humor that will keep you turning the pages. Not everything is honey and roses. These characters have to overcome so much to get to where they want to be. They work together through some very hard times always finding away to make it interesting as well as lively. Ms. Seton has put a lot of thought into each character giving them wonderful personalities. If you are looking for a book to make you laugh, one that you can relate to and really get into you might want to give this one a try. I am so looking forward to listening to more from this author and following this series.

Could have been so much more
Liked the premise. Liked the main couple, Mason & Regan - yes they were sweet, funny & loving. Just felt the story was barely there, but there was plenty of sex to fill in the banks. Kept waiting for something to happen, some depth of story & the characters. Basically - they meet via email, they fall in love within days, move across the US to work on his/their home, get married - end of story. It could have been so much more.

She knows nothing about ranching.
I really enjoyed the interaction between Mason and Regan when they were emailing each other and over Skype. Regan was sure she would not find a man she could love and depend on, so she decided to have a baby by herself. Mason needs a wife and baby, so he advertised for one for him and his 3 brothers. If they want to keep the family ranch, they all have to get married within a year. Mason is very decisive and took it upon himself to advertise for all of them. His brothers were not too happy. But they want to save the ranch, so they will go along with it. Regan thought the ad was just a joke and answered. Little did she know it would change her life. She knows nothing about ranching and is sure that she and Mason are not compatible, but she soon finds that they have more in common than she thought. A good story.

Still Reading this book and Laughing out loud 7 years after purchase!
Like so many readers who have left reviews, my very favourite part of this book has to be the wording of Mason's Wife Wanted Ad and Regan's reply. The first time I read this part of the book I was on a train and couldn't stop laughing & giggling. You can imagine the reaction of my fellow passengers! Seven years later and I'm still reading it and laughing out loud. This is my go-to book whenever I'm feeling a bit low because it not only makes me laugh, it is also a heart warming story about two people falling in love and how they learn to work together to repair the family ranch. The series then continues with Mason's other brothers leaving the military and finding their partners.I know that some reviewers are disappointed that there wasn't more jeopardy & action involved in the story and it would have been so easy to do that and turn it into another kind of book. I am so very glad that Cora didn't do that because this is a delightful story, well written and has brought me a lot of joy over the years. As far as I'm concerned, it's worth buying this book just to read Mason's Ad and Regan's reply.Happy Reading!

Hilarious, romantic and heart warming tale.
This book was funny, romantic, dramatic, steamy and had an unusual storyline. Excellent writing too.I loved all the characters. My favourite part of the book was the email exchange between a drunk Regan and Mason - hilarious! I loved the four brothers and their relationship with each other. Although they had different characters and did not necessarily want the same things in life, they supported each other to attain their goal. I liked that Regan took control of her life and planned her future but I wish there was the occasional bit of friction with Mason as she seemed too good. This is the first book I have read from this author and I loved it so I highly recommend it for all the reasons already mentioned.

Loved it!
Mason Hall is coming to the end of his military career when a death in the family gives him the chance to reclaim his family ranch. However, his aunt has some stipulations for him and his brothers who are also serving. This includes each of them finding a wife and at least one pregnancy before the year is out. As the older brother and first to arrive stateside, he has to be the one to get a wife and baby fast.Regan is a New Yorker who is on the brink of changing her life. Giving up a job in a bank and desperate for a child, she decides that she wants to go it alone on both counts. With her appointment for artificial insemination booked, will an online ad for a wife change her life?Loved this story. There were no evil ex's, no silly misunderstandings or break ups. It's a story about finding what you want in life, dealing with changes in circumstances and finding a partner who you can weather the storms with. There are plenty of funny, cute and hot scenes too. I think I need a go on the course! Will definitely be reading the next in the series!
