Cast iron grill is perfect replacement for my old BBQ grill,better quality and solid,make sure you wash in warm water before use,dry,then get a sponge or kitchen roll and rub some cooking oil,( vegetable,sunflower,olive etc,)all over on both sides,then put on your BBQ light it as normal allow it to heat up you way see a bit of smoke"that's normal" after a 5 minutes turn of and allow to cool down completely.Once it's cooled,wash in warm water and repeat oiling process and then again reheating it.Like any cast iron products to maintain a long life once used clean and just oil ready for your next BBQ.,no need to reheat any further the sealing has already been complete.
