The Latest Update- when my pump began to slow down I contacted the seller for advice on how to revive its performance. The seller immediately offered a replacement which arrived in two days. The pump when working is terrific and now excellent customer service. Nice to deal with a reputable company. I am sure we will be enjoying this wonderful fountain for hopefully long time to come. Update-We have had this set up for about 10 weeks. For the first couple of months it worked great as described in the original review below. Despite having a stretch of dry sunny weather the pump has now slowed considerably. It shoots water off and on, reaching maybe 3 inches. I clean the filter and housing almost every day but even with strong sun it is fading. Very disappointing because we loved watching this especially with lights at night- usually until midnight. Now it barely makes it to 9pm. Tried to contact seller to no avail. It should have lasted longer. Original-We purchased this to place in a bird bath in our garden. This was the first time buying something like this so didn't know what to expect. As soon as we placed this in the bird bath it immediately starting working, I guess it came with the battery partially charged. The water shoots up about 10-12 inches and it comes with a variety of attachments to vary the spray pattern. On a bright sunny day it works very well but on a cloudy day the spray is weaker. Following our first sunny day I was delighted to find that the fountain continued to spray water until midnight before exhausting the battery. And the best part was that after dark it puts on a beautiful light show with changing colors. I thought it might look a bit over the top but honestly it really looks great. I hope our little pump keeps up as the birds have now discovered the bird bath and we get regular visitors.. I am also hoping for more sunny days so the show can continue.

I have been using one of there for almost 2 years, it still lights up, and changes colors, and still pumps a good stream of water. I keep the filter clean, and it pumps a lot of water, You have to be mindful of windy days, as the taller the water nozzle shoots the water the quicker the wind will blow it out of the bird bath. I can empty your bath pretty quickly if you don't catch it soon enough, My solution is to use the nozzle, with the largest hole, that will keep all the water in the bath, and still circulate a big volume of water, I think that helps keep the water cleaner and healthier for the birds. I do remove it during the winter months, I forgot a couple times, water froze, but not deep enough to freeze or break the pump. I got lucky i guess. The lights change color, and really look nice at night. Since mine is now old, the batteries don't last as long as they used too, I only get about an hour of lights anymore, but still enjoyable. I think it was a pretty good value for the little I paid for it. Really surprised how nice it is.

The floating fountain pump must be anchored or blocked to the center of the basin of water or all the water is sprayed outside, can’t recirculate and the fountain runs dry. The force of the water being sucked in and sprayed out propels the floating pump like a tiny boat until it comes to a wall and then sprays all the water out of the basin/bowl until it runs dry. I put pebbles and small rocks to corral the runaway pump/fountain but it ruins the effect of the floating device. This should come with an anchor or some way to tether it in place. I bought two and ended up getting rid of both of them. Needs to be redesigned.

Love it I was surprised that it had colored lights. Looks great at night

I have purchased two others by other manufacturers that don’t come close to this. This one actually does what it is supposed to do. It runs during the day if there is sunlight, but at times it even runs with light overcast. It stores energy while it runs. There is a period before dark, when the sun is setting where it stops running. Once it gets dark, the colored lights come on and it starts running strong. I am not sure how many hours. It got dark around 6:15 pm and it is 8:30 and still going strong. Another thing I like is the different heads. The head in my video is great if it is windy and you want to avoid losing water. The photo shows it running with another head. Another thing, it came with 4 arms that you can attach to prevent it from getting to close to the edge. By staying in the middle, you avoid water loss. I did get the extended warranty offered by Amazon - just because my past experience tells me that these don’t last that long. Time will tell. 4/30/2023 UPDATE I did have an issue where this stopped working. The lights would come on at night, but the fountain part stopped working. Something told me to pull out the owner’s manual. I saw where it described detaching the pump and removing the filter. I decided to give it a try and WOW! It worked!! I am so happy that it is back.

Revision on 4/17/25: I took the pump out, found the small filter and washed it in the sink. When I reassembled it the fountain was pumping water to its original height. Easy to do -- pull the pump assembly underneath the fountain away from the fountain. A small filter is easy to just take out and wash, equally easy to put back in. Cables remain connected to the pump so it is easy to do even for a klutz like me. The description suggests cleaning the filter regularly. Now I see how simple it is to clean. Nicely designed. This little fountain has been running flawlessly for 3 months. And the lights stay for several hours after dark, until the battery runs out of power. It is a very nice device

I gave 3 stars because I’m sure these work fine in a fountain or pool but for what I used it for, it wasn’t great. When I first set them up, they were great but the water kept shooting outside the bowl I was using and drained very quickly. I then changed the flow to a lower spout setting which was an ok fix for a bit. Now the filters keep getting clogged and blocked the water flow. The solar lights never worked. Missed the return window otherwise would have sent back

Very bad item did not work at all .. do not buy it

Bought 2 of these and both did not work. At 50 each it wasn't cheap and very disheartening as both where gifts. Do not purchase avoid at all cost. Very cheaply made

Ok product didnt compare at all well in a pond to similar priced solar pumps with a panel.

Desde que amanece está trabajando la bomba. Entre más sol es más intenso el chorro. Solo es de escoger el adecuado para que no salpique fuera del recipiente. Por que si se sale el Agua lo estarás rellenando constantemente. Le Da un toque especial al jardín u lo mejor es ver las aves acercarse a beber y tomarse un baño. Muy contento con la compra

I've had mine for 3 summers so far. Worked as good when I put it away this fall as when I first set it up. No troubles what-so-ever.
