Caulk Saver Foam Backer Rod for Gaps and Joints Backing Rod Concrete Filler Rope, Gray (3/4 Inch x 30 Ft)

It was recommended that we stuff lengths of this foam into gaps along the edge of a concrete wall to cut down on mold accumulating from a water control/drainage system. Seems to be working fine and holding up well. The lengths of foam rod were coiled and packed in a box and some were kinked from the way it was packed. It dows seem to seek out its natural shape after time, though. Good product.

I used the different sizes to place in the space under the floor boards. I used a putty knife to insert it under the different spaces to stop the draft coming in. Worked perfectly on eliminating drafts under floor boards.

It filled the gap in front of my garage. Great product.

My flooring installation guide told me this was required for a correct installation. The length was as promised and it fits well in the space left between the floor and the wall, but I have no idea if it really does any good. I've left these out before and come back 10 years later... Everything was fine. So, what is this really accomplishing? I don't know, unless it helps fill in the gap and block air from circulating so easily in some installations. It should keep the floor from moving? But, I don't see how - you can squeeze easily between your fingers, so it doesn't resist much. Oh, well... Done and dusted.

Saved a lot of expensive caulk using this product. Very easy to push into my concrete crevices.Worked exactly as intended.
