Mouse House Hardcover – Picture Book, September 6, 2016

I knew I loved this book when I ordered it on Amazon. I had a magazine sized paperback copy of Mouse House when I was a boy. I ordered it from one of those book clubs that used to sell books to students at school. One day, on the way home from school, I accidentally dropped the book in to a puddle. I was heartbroken, but my mother kept opening the pages as they dried. She saved the book and I enjoy it for years, even with the wrinkled pages. The story and illustrations are both a delight. Sometime during my teenage years, the book disappeared. I don't know what happened to it, but I never forgot the perfect combination of story and drawings. When I discovered it on Amazon, I ordered it right away. This hardcover edition is smaller, but that's just fine. I love the cloth binding and the quality of the paper. I never thought I'd own a copy of Mouse House again and I'm so happy to have it. You and your children, or grandchildren, will love it too.

Someone very dear to me had grown up reading this book and had difficulty finding it. She said I can’t find it anywhere…She was very happily surprised and thankful when I handed this to her. Brought back fond and cherished memories of a time long past.

Have you read this delightful book?If you have not, then buy it right away. Why? Not only are the illustrations quaint, but the actually story will draw in your young reader (2nd to about 4th grade). Or better yet read “Mouse House” aloud to the whole family, but don’t forget to show the pictures.

I read this book as a child at the public library for summer reading and I had been looking for it. It’s a charming story and beautiful illustrations and now I’m saving it for the grandkids.
