I thought that the book would only be about works of art: sculpture, paintings and jewelry. But I was pleasantly surprised. The book also covers architecture and interesting places of Ukraine. I love it.

I really liked the quality of the book and its content. Beautiful pictures inside, everything is done succinctly and with taste. I think that people who love books will definitely appreciate it.

Well, this is only one decent book about Ukraine I can order in UK. So, yes, I would rate it high.

Un libro davvero particolare, sull'arte dell'Ucraina fa un excursus a 360 gradi sulla produzione artistica di questo paese. Sicuramente per mia colpa, ero piuttosto ignorante in materia e mi ha davvero colpito la ricchezza della produzione artistica, in tutte le sue forme, di questo paese. Dalla pittura all'architettura, passando per la scultura e la produzione di gioielli, si parte dagli albori fino ad arrivare ai giorni nostri. Il tutto in un volume molto ben curato, ottima qualità di stampa, carta pesante e robusta, ottime fotografie e resa cromatica delle immagini, insomma davvero una piccola perla che potrà arricchire la vostra biblioteca. Io ne sono molto soddisfatta, ho scoperto aspetti di questa nazione che non conoscevo e che probabilmente non avrò mai modo di vedere di persona, sono felice di poterli almeno ammirare su questo bellissimo volume. Ottimo anche come idea regalo per un amante dell'arte, idea originale e per niente scontata. Promosso con 5 stelle. Dieses Buch bietet einen faszinierenden Überblick über die ukrainische Kultur und Geschichte. Es beeindruckt durch seine Detailgenauigkeit und akademische Sorgfalt. Allerdings wird z.B. die Bukowina, ein kulturell reiches Gebiet, nur am Rande behandelt, was für mich enttäuschend war. Auch traditionelle ukrainische authentische Kunst kommt etwas zu kurz. Trotz dieser kleinen Einschränkungen ist das Buch insgesamt ein beeindruckendes und informatives Werk, das für Interessierte an der Ukraine sehr empfehlenswert ist.
