Compact yet fabulous!
Bought the 10x25 one...just lovin it A compact bino that I can literally carry in my pocket Yet the image is clear & sharp...the thing that I love the most is the brightness of the image..it's more bright than most of the 10x42 binos...go for it!!

The left eye tube must have something wrong inside of it. The image is slightly crooked and will not align with the image that is rendered with the right eye tube when looking with both eyes. I do not know specifically how this happens. Perhaps one of the roof prisms is slightly crooked so the image is going to be forever crooked. What this does when looking through the binocular with both eyes open is two images that are slightly out of alignment with each other being processed with your eyes and brain which cannot make them align so that a single magnified image is seen by the viewer. You get two slightly off superimposed images that make one's eyes and brain go crazy trying to rectify the image misalignment. This is truly unfortunate because the glass is clear and bright without edge distortion, fuzziness, or darkness. You just cannot get a single image with the human stereoscopic eyes being freaked out by the image misalignment brain and eye torture. I am sending these back and ordering another pair. If the second pair has manufacturing defects, no third chances for Zeiss for me. I'll return them and find another GOOD pair of 10x25 compact binos built with good glass and without manufacturing defects. Stay tuned......

I bought the 10x25 Zeiss Terra ED because I needed to get a lightweight, compact binoc that would be easy to take to parks and put in my backpack for birding around town. I tried a compact Leica but it was too heavy and not that easy to focus - and overkill price-wise for what I wanted to do. These binocs fit the bill! It is small (see pix) and, although not as light-weight as I wanted, the quality is so good, I've kept them. (Too heavy to put in a woman's light-weight jacket, though.) It feels really well made and durable. And the best is the extra light it lets in compared to my old binocs. I find that I am using these binocs a lot for general birding. Heads up - it comes with a neck strap but no protective carrying bag - and the little carrying case is a bit bulky. Still, highly recommend!!!
