Background: I'm going camping in April and this particular campsite is very much "off grid" so I wanted to try and do as much as I could using my Anker Powerhouse 400 and a 100w solar panel that I already have.I bought this on a bit of a whim after reading the limited reviews available. The model I ordered is the Style + with the app support, it was listed as used / as new and it arrived in new condition.The unit itself looks well made and is a nice shape, it's quite compact for transporting around. My unit came with a UK and EU plug, a divider for the pan, a separate lid for storing food before heating and the instruction manual.When you connect the unit to power, pressing the front button turns it on, and into "standby mode", pressing the button again starts the heat cycle to 70 degrees.One of the main reasons I went for this model was for the app support, using the link provided you are taken to the Google play store but the store would not allow me to install the app on my S21 Ultra as it said the software was too old. At this point, I did a search for "Heatsbox APK" and was able to find the APK on APKPure, which is a reliable source. I was then able to download this on my phone and install the file. Please note that you need to enable "other sources" on your phone to install the software this way. Once installed the app worked very well, finding the Heatsbox in a couple of seconds and connecting to it. The app is pretty good, you can set the temperature and define the size of food you want to use as well as the heat profile. It then provides an estimate of the heating time, showing the current temperature of the unit. Once the time is reached the unit it put back into standby mode.For a test I used a tin of Chicken in White Sauce, setting the temp to 80 degrees and after approx 23 minutes I checked the food. It was too hot to eat immediately so I could probably have gone for 75 degrees.In terms of consumption, my Powerhouse was showing a steady 110 watts, going down to about 70 watts once the set temperature was reached, in total I used 14% of the capacity of the Powerhouse, which is great as I know I can get more than this from the solar panel, even on a cloudy day.The only other point to make is that this is really a 1 portion-sized unit, I'll probably use the whole tin next time but also put in some microwave rice with it.

Excellent little thing, made my weekday lunches much better. Heats most things really well.. Sandwiches, pizza, left over Sunday roast, pasties... A bit of trial and error with the best temp and time etc, but overall very happy with it.

Was looking forward to using this to heat up lunch on site with no power when working but will not let me use it without the power cord being plugged in and it is not a type-C cord to use for a power bank

Although the product seems well made, I can't rave about it.Three times I have used it and each time some of the food was only lukewarm.This would make it seem you need to stir the contents several times during the heating process.Because of the leak proof design, opening to stir the food is really quite a chore.Have to keep looking for something that works.Expensive mistake.

Great product. Sturdy, very well made and very importantly does not leak!! Intuitive app and very simple to use with a selection of heat settings. You can plug the unit into the mains, set the time you want your food to be ready and that's it. Recommended! Probably one of the best portable food warmers in the market.

The lid that goes on top of the metal dish to transport your food to work is worse than useless. If not placed exactly right it will leek. The four red clamps that hold the lid on to the dish are not fir for purpose. Advise you leave the metal dish in the heater unit after eating/washing and transport your food in a cheap Tupperware type sealable dish and tip the food from it into the dish and heater unit when you want to heat your food. The idea that a set of two of these metal dishes and lids cost over £60 is criminal when the alternative is so cheaply available.The device itself with its app is fairly good and its build is nice enough. Having said that, first impressions of the overall experience isn’t that good. You have to question the build quality of the hidden parts. In the long term will the food warmer last.
