Detritus (garbage)
I have only had this solid state drive for 20 days and it is dead. I wanted to use it to boot Windows. I have tried it in external enclosures as well as connecting it to the motherboard directly via SATA cable. It is fully non-functional. I believe the drive left the factory faulty. This experience is illustrative of the need for random testing of products in bulk. It doesn't seem to be coincidence that KingFast includes an insert in the packaging that says they will send you an additional SSD, of the same storage size, if you give them a positive review. This is social engineering designed to make the consumer think that KingFast is offering payment for the service the consumer will offer (a good report) and that they are concerned about customer satisfaction. I have read several reviews where other customers took them up on their offer, following all instructions, and never received anything. Judge for yourself.

Great quality for the price.
This was my first Kingfast SSD that I have ordered. Normally, all my builds have a Samsung Pro SSD in them for the operating system with enough room left over for the buyer to install some games or other apps that they decide to put on their SSD.My recent requested gaming PC had a very tight budget. Normally, I don't agree to such a tight budget, but this was for a friend's son and I didn't want to pass this up. I decided to stick with my normal layout and went with an SSD and HDD combo. I ran across your SSD on Amazon and was blown away with the price and the reviews... So I ordered the 240 SSD.I was really impressed with the quality of the SSD as well as wit the speeds. I personally couldn't tell a difference in the performance compared to other SSDs that I have used in the past. I will be using the free one, that you all have mentioned in the business card included in the package, in my personal gaming PC to see how far that quality goes.I am looking forward to purchasing more SSDs from Kingfast in future PC builds that I do.

Great SSD for the price
I got these recently to upgrade my desktop, and it performed great! The windows loading dots don't even make a full circle on startup.A few things buyers should know tho:1. The package come with the SSD, and nothing else.2. It is an slim 2.5inch SSD intended for laptops, so for use in desktop, it needs to be installed on an SSD mounting bracket3. If your desktop already have a tray inside, but no screws to attach it with, like the case for mine, you will need drive screws or the #4 equivalent of some brass screws of appropriate length. I personally didn't want to buy a whole box of drive screws so I bought a pack of 4 3/8 inch #4 brass screws and a pack of 12 #4 washers from Lowes for 2 bucks, 3 washers on each hole worked great.4. buy SATA 6gbps cables for desktop, since as I mentioned in 1, there is none with the package

Update....Kingfast makes offers they can’t keep. Just as good as bigger name brand SSDs
In my box from Kingfast was an offer for a free SSD in turn for me providing feedback. I followed all the directions TWICE (I sent emails as requested on 9/6 and 9/12) and never got a reply and never got a drive shipped within 5 days (it would have arrived before now). So if I can’t get something as a simple email acknowledgment on a promotion of their choosing, I doubt I can trust them if I ever need warranty support.(Original review)I have used other big name brands like Samsung and Crucial, but decided to give Kingfast a try due to their competitive pricing and specs. I installed this 240GB into a 2010 MacBook Pro and I have been quite impressed! It runs like a brand new laptop and this SSD performs every bit as well or better than other brands of SSDs I have previously tried. I will definitely buy Kingfast again the next time I need a SSD drive!

Great SSD
So far, so good! First I tried with hackintosh , formatted to Mac no problem then decided to use on my windows pc. Reformatted and Loaded windows 10 on it with no issues. This thing is blazing fast and a great value. I would recommend.*UPDATE- so good hard drive still. The rub is Promised a 2nd free hard drive for feedback. Did everything they asked like a previous buyer on here. Left review, provided picture of special card that was enclosed and was told I would get it in “7 days” that was 3 weeks ago. Tried writing an email and haven’t got any response.... poor customer service IMO. If you say you’re going to do something as a business , stand by it.

Surprisingly Good
This is a very a good SSD, its cheap and somewhat decent in terms of speed. The outside casing of this SSD is very solid and not made of cheap thin plastic compared to most brands. I used this as a boot drive and my PC boots in less than 10 seconds. I recommend this to those who are tight on budget but wants some performance. Here are some benchmark comparison;ADATA SU800 240GB Seq R/W - 508.5 / 453.8HP S700 240GB Seq R/W - 472.3 / 446.3KingFast 240GB Seq R/W - 478.8 / 424.1

Great affordable SSD
I had been keeping an eye open for an affordable SSD to extend the life of my Dell Optiplex 790 PC running Windows 10. It had a traditional HDD that was making quite a bit of noise and getting very sluggish. Bootups were slow and even after sign in it was a couple of minutes before I could actually launch applications and take over. Another problem I was seeing was sluggishness when running web browsers with multiple open tabs. Lack of memory wasn't an issue, so I assumed this was related to the HDD as well.I cloned my HDD to the SSD and then removed the HDD entirely. The subsequent boot was impressive - about 10 seconds or so, and after signing in I could launch applications right away. Running 10 or so browser tabs doesn't seem to be an issue any more either. All in all, this was a great upgrade at a great price. I'll revisit this review later after I've had more time to discover any quirks or issues, but so far this is an easy 5 stars!

Good SSD
I bought two of these to use as main drives on two PCs. I cloned two older SSDs using a free cloning software. The Kingfast seem slower than my older Samsung but not too noticeable different. But for the lower price they are worth it. The boxes included a card to get a free 240 drive and I sent an email to claim it. I don't know if they really will send a freebie but I'll wait and see.
