Highly Favored of the Lord Volume 3

Not exactly traditional LDS thinking but eye opening and thought provoking for sure.I was able to listen to his podcasts before he took them down so I knew what these books were about.If you’re able to read something without feeling the need to agree with everything, these are great little topical study guides.

The book contains a lot of very interesting information. My main complaint is that some of it is highly speculative. To his credit, Mike generally clarifies when he is giving personal opinions. I was a bit concerned that a little too much information is given about sacred temple ordinances.

I listened to the podcast while reading these. He is very intelligent and knowledgeable about the gospel. I learned more in 3 weeks, than I did in 3 years at church. It is my own study habits as to why I didn't learn more, but that is not to take away anything from the author. I have a very deep respect for the author and his opinions and doctrines that he shares. He looks at things and described teaching of Jesus Christ not in parables, the way Jesus taught, but put it in a way I can understand much easier.

If you want to dig deep and discover things you didnt know or hadn't considered about the gospel. This is the book for you. Stroud uses the scriptures to illustrate his points Nd gives you references to back up conclusions.

This book is the 'Handbook for Life" we all should have one.

I would highly recommend reading and re-reading each of the podcasts in the "Highly Favored of the Lord" series of volumes taught by Mike Stroud. Each volume taught me things I never knew, but we're in my opinion, expedient for me to learn. As I prayerfully read and pondered, I knew that I was being enlightened by the Holy Spirit.

If you're looking to step out of the world and into the Savior's arms, this book is for you. If your not into things, movies, or trends but instead find a rush in deeper docorine, this book is for you. Find your seat at the great feast with all of Brother Stroud's books. It has been life changing to read and listen to Brother Stroud.

This is the second book I have greatly enjoyed from this author. Somehow I jumped over volume two but I am going to get it.
